22/1/2018 15:25 | The subscription shares are now lapsed. They never reached a worthwhile price. Omega performance rather than Alpha but maybe this Trust is starting to perform at last. | jhan66
22/1/2018 15:14 | Are the subscription shares good value? can't find an exercise price. OD | obiterdicta
17/1/2018 14:05 | No comment about Gundaline at all. | tiltonboy
15/1/2018 12:14 | Accounts should have been out on Friday, and are already 3 weeks later than last year. | tiltonboy

20/7/2017 23:30 | Noticed the late earnings release. Some positives. 4.5p dividend x-next week. Some negatives. Hurricane, largest holding not doing well lately. | jhan66
26/4/2017 13:56 | well well this has come to life at last. maybe the unquoteds are not a pile of manure after all | edwardt
19/4/2017 11:06 | Good to hear from another investor. The 'Top 10' holdings are interesting. He's definitely been right on the smaller asset managers like Polar and Liontrust. And he's been right on Hurricane. He has probably also been right on Gleeson, though it's not something I'd want to hold directly. And Avation is a great company that has done well. Aircraft leasing out of Singapore (I think). I don't know anything about Gresham, but I have heard good things about that company. 37% financials is quite punchy. | galeforce1
19/4/2017 10:41 | I've been buying them for about a year. They had a couple of poor years, hence the widening of the discount. There is a continuation vote next year, so that should focus minds! | tiltonboy
19/4/2017 09:56 | The discount here is too big. About 21.5% yesterday (from the mid-price). John Dodd is a very experienced investor. If the trust continues to perform well the discount should come down to more like 10%. I've bought a few with this year's ISA. | galeforce1
22/9/2016 00:54 | Nice slow burner here on a decent discount free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | luckymouse

10/1/2012 16:35 | What's happening here? The "Profit Hunter" got lost? Was looking at the sub shares (ATSS) for these and they seem to be priced far too high. Mind you a long time to expiry. | peterbill

30/11/2006 17:15 | thought you might like this, from Citywire: Artemis Alpha investment trust is set to announce an uplift to net asset value (NAV) of 4% on the back of the flotation of Salamander Energy. Salamander Energy made its initial public offering of shares at £2.50 on 30 November. Artemis Alpha , a best ideas fund managed by John Dodd, has a 4% stake in the firm, which was purchased at the company's foundation for 100p per share. Dodd has touted it as his 'stock of next year.' The uplift to NAV is expected to be in the region of 3% to 4% because some of the stock, which represents Dodd's third largest position, is held in preference shares that will carry through. Dodd bought in April 2005 so the return of 250% has been achieved in about 19 months. Dodd said: 'The company is being driven by products in Thailand. It has Premier founder Charlie Jamieson on the board and a top management team.' As a company Salamander calls itself an exploration and production company that is solely focused on Southeast Asia. Private equity investment trust 3i is also a holder and can expect a more diluted lift to its NAV. The boost to Artemis Alpha will in turn support its major shareholders including the Iimia fund of trusts, which have stakes. | isa23 |
