Some really good news this morning regarding others who are mining. In summary black rock have another offtake agreement and graphex have just secured funding to develop a mine.https://www.australianmining.com.au/news/graphex-lines-us85m-funding-develop-graphite-project/

Agree, better than a money pit. At least if they develop it We will still see an income. Disappointing that they did not receive any cash for the asset but I guess the graphite alone will make up for it.

Its a giveaway really, was expecting cash on deal conclusion. At least were not spending any further on it & we still retain 1.5 percent royalty.

I guess the fact that there is no upfront cash explains the lack of effect on the share price. I am not sure the earliest that production could start (and hence royalties for ACP) but guess it is a couple of years away......

Volt Resources (Graphite) granted mining licenceVolt's chairman Asimwe Kabunga (also Armadale Capital's largest shareholder) said, "This is a key milestone for Volt and our shareholders, as we have now effectively received all required primary development approvals."Volt has maintained a very transparent and positive dialogue with the Tanzanian authorities throughout the entire approvals process, and I would like to thank the relevant authorities for their support and input towards achieving these key approvals."https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/207324/volt-resources-granted-mining-licences-for-bunyu-graphite-project-in-tanzania-207324.html

Looking back over recent RNSs:
- Diamond drilling completed. 8 holes, total 489 meters.
- Feasibility Study now well advanced with targeted publication in Q4 2018.
- EIA and RAP expected to be submitted in October 2018 (previously expected in Sept.)
- Cash reserves sufficient to satisfy the Company’s present needs for approximately six months (from end of June?).
- The Company will need to raise further capital to implement its plans for the Mahenge Liandu project.
- The Directors are actively considering a range of financing options and are confident of securing the funds necessary to support the development of Mahenge Liandu.
- First production target within 12-18 months i.e. Sept. 2019 - Feb. 2020.

Graphite demand to rise9th October 2018Graphite demand to rise as WA joins global push to ban combustible building materialshttps://stockhead.com.au/resources/graphite-demand-to-rise-as-wa-joins-global-push-to-ban-combustible-building-materials/amp/When treated with acid and heat, graphite flakes split apart and increase in volume by up to 300 times. This "expandable graphite" can be pressed into sheets and used for heat and fire protection in applications ranging from building materials to consumer electronics and fuel cells.Demand for "expandable graphite" is growing much more quickly than expected.Fire safety is rapidly becoming a global issue in commercial and residential construction –driven by disasters such as the London Grenfell Tower tragedy and an explosion at China's Tianjin Port in December 2015.The cladding on the Grenfell Tower is believed to have contributed to the rapid spread of the fire that gutted the 24-storey building in west London.
