ST today ... I estimate the company now holds net cash of about £155m (114p a share), ..I have stated the cash position after allowing for a £18.8m tax liability on the VelosBio disposal based on a 15 per cent tax charge.

And I was right. ST gives it a great write up and we should see a good rise tomorrow.

However I do see it as a long term investment that will do very well.

It's at the bottom of a rising trend at the moment if you believe charts, the top of the trend is 267p would be nice to hit that, I think it will take news and whoever is drip feeding shares to finish.

There's a good chance it will be in Simon Thompson's Bargain Shares in the I.C tomorrow.
He tipped in December at 176p and it's now 172p so even more of a bargain.

If so it will bounce from here.

But estimated cash here around 128p per share ..And Hardmans current Nav estimate is 274p a share .
So market is effectively discounting the funds holdings by an enormous amount .

viz .175p current share price less cash of 128p is 47p market valuation for remaining assets.
Portfolio apparent Nav is 274p less 128p cash.....146p .

Discount of 68%..

Seems like there might be a seller around ..Acacia (19% shareholder) probably - based on recent behaviour in SNG where they sold out much too early.

Looks like we both might get a chance to top up! Looks like a bit of momentum driven selling by pi's. Share price testing £2 resistance. If anything fundamentals have improved since my last purchase. Final results early March where nav will be far greater than £2 so this is definitely a buying opportunity for me.

I was hoping for a bit of weakness myself, but have now abandoned that hope, so will have to be satisfied with what I have. Another year like this one would be good :)

Yes agreed, the directors buy was great to see.I've got a long term plan for my Arix holding of a minimum of 5 years. I'm adding on weakness when I can and have no plan to sell any. I can only see the NAV increasing from here.

Yes I think you're right, Chesil, those quotes look far more realistic.

ADVFN trades were quoting 190/200 since late morning, so they assumed all the 195, 195.25, 195.5, 197.2, etc were actual buys, but in reality they're probably sells. Hence the huge difference in Buys/Sells.

Let's hope the news flow continues next week, with another broker note or newspaper mention to keep things moving northwards.

I've put in a few dummy trades towards the end of the day and they were 197.20 to sell 199 to buy through TD Waterhouse.

The quotes I've seen have been 190 bid, constantly from late morning.

Lots of small trades going through, and they're virtually all buys at around the 200p level. Hopefully the MM's will be getting short of stock very soon.

Pro forma net cash position accounts for 73 per cent of market capitalisation.
Portfolio of investee companies in the price for 67 per cent below estimated book value.
Board restructured and operating costs being significantly reduced.

It's still not at the IPO price and there have been major developments in portfolio companies since - this has a long way to go up.

It's been a cracking week for Arix, with positive news flows from Atox Bio, Harpoon and Autolus, all within the past 4 days.

On the back of the Harpoon news Peel Hunt has a target share price of 267p. which could be a very conservative guesstimate.

Despite the share price coming a long way from the mid 50p days of early April, the market still haven't fully accepted its potential and look a great prospect for further improvement.
