Ariana Resources Takeover Rumours (AAU)

Nigel Somerville - makes sense to me: The third issue is Zimbabwe, where a government minister suggested that it could impose new rules and help itself to 26% of new projects. That is not (yet) government policy, it is unclear whether it would apply to Dokwe anyway as it may be too small and, in any case, it is not a new project. But the uncertainty is causing share price weakness. One would assume that some clarity will emerge in the end, but it is very frustrating to see the shares being hammered when, even if 26% went to Zim, Ariana would be massively quids in. I suspect that there is a fourth issue in that a few of the original holders of the Dokwe project, who were handed shares in Ariana on the takeover might be slipping a bit of stock into the market, further depressing an already depressed share price.

A while ago we did a calculation of how much of the company was owned by people on this board it was quite a large % my memory says something like 30% non of us are happy with how things are going, but we see the potential. Has the Dokwe takeover / Merger altered that ? ( my take is that it has but I am inexperienced ) Is their any way we can join with the disappointed on the L S E board (i dont follow that ) and with a good % of the company approach the board and put across our frustrations

Yea and the change to engage was because of their relationship with BRR media not to improve process or marketing just looked into it. There will be some very direct questions asked. My issue with presentation is there’s no commentary , slides are open to interpretation. One slide implies the shareprice went up due to dokwe due diligence. Truth was we rockover takeover was announced the shareprice went from 2.85 to 1.8 due to long termers exiting. They have to learn shareholders have brain cells and memories. Some slides we good but you need commentary . I suspect they were worried that decentors may attend and didn’t want that recording. My main question is why is everything linked to exploration and not about the business upside ie how will their efforts increase the shareprice. I’m not bothered about Liz producing 50 percent higher than feasibility if shareprice a third of what it was.

Plas, sorry been away for the last few days. RE HL, I have no idea if the service will change but seeing what some other private equity companies have done to their purchases I am covering myself if they start striping assets or increasing fees. I have a lot of my investments with HL and I'm not happy with the takeover.
