APTD made good progress in 2021 with new business success across all the Group's key regions together with the continued development of the Group's product strategy. Overall performance was in line with the Board's expectations for 2021. Annual Recurring Revenue for the core Aptitude Software business grew by 10% on a constant currency basis in the year to £34.4 million, including the acquisition of MPP Global it was £41.8 million. Excellent progress has also been achieved in 2021 on a series of strategic product initiatives to provide the Group with sustainable growth opportunities for the future.So solid performance delivered and more growth to come. Profitability ratios are all top quartile for the Software & IT Services market, the balance sheet is strong. Valuation is the main stumbling block, forward PE ratio at 43 is bottom quartile even for the high multiple tech sector. This rich valuation may also explain why the share price lacks momentum, roughly flat over 12 months. If they're going to return almost £50 million to shareholders then ideally it would be by payment of a special dividend. Or am I being thick |
