15/11/2019 13:04 | The majority voted for it in a big way. Shareholder democracy I'm afraid. | brownie69
04/11/2019 07:25 | Very disappointed at the whole sad affair; at such a low price. | this_is_me
25/10/2019 13:38 | Deal seems to have gone through. Holders should receive payment around 14/15th of November. | mr doughnut1
16/10/2019 17:00 | Thanks for the reply | jailbird
16/10/2019 09:55 | So where is GHF, Disappeared after this announcement....He must have an opinion surely | jailbird
16/10/2019 09:46 | Had to ring my broker (Halifax) to vote as they didn't send them as they normally do, postal/email votes need to be in by 21st October | squib3
02/10/2019 11:24 | Remember at in order to be effective there has to be a majority of shareholders voting and they have to represent 75% of the shares. So if a lot of small shareholders vote against it then the scheme will fail. | this_is_me
02/10/2019 08:19 | My voting cards arrived this morning, now duly signed, voted against and now waiting to be posted. That is at least one straw on the camel's back! | this_is_me
27/9/2019 16:34 | Well if they had cosy little meetings with Harwood before the offer (obviously they would have), then if they've detected some possible 'trouble' with shareholders, they might be having equally cosy meetings to put a few p on the offer to shut up enough of the opposition to have an easy road through. | yump
27/9/2019 16:18 | After the offer first moved to 10.5p, the real stress was 9.76/9.9. Don’t know if it changed late in the day. | shanklin
27/9/2019 15:12 | Its probably the case of mms moving the spread, if I suddenly see a cluster of buys at 10.5p then I might get excited. | igoe104
27/9/2019 14:50 | Maybe a whiff of a counter bid? | jpuff
27/9/2019 14:40 | interesting how the S/p has nudged above the bid price ? | igoe104
25/9/2019 19:19 | Pj009. Quite agree. What’s worse is that it’s only the good ones being swallowed up. I’m a long standing C Mills/NAS fan and this is a classic move. I have no doubt it will prosper. It will be back on the market in 5 years but at 5X this price. | steve3sandal
25/9/2019 18:46 | Another small AIM company being taken over. Not sure this is a good thing. | pjames009
23/9/2019 09:44 | There may be other companies out there, but unless they think the current offer is an "absolute steal", why would they get into a potential bidding war? SO, i would be surprised if another offer came in | dvb99
21/9/2019 08:09 | FordComb, More like the increase in Loan note is a cash injection! Its a difficult one they may need money to expand but is that an excuse? I still think the offer undervalues the company and Nico is probably right 20 pence is probably fairer value on prospects. The buyer sees value otherwise they wouldn't be bothering. There must be other companies out there that see value and have the cash to support the company so I think shareholders should hold and see if they can get support for a GM. | debsdowner
20/9/2019 21:24 | If you close your eyes and say the The Union Discount Company three times you never know.... | playful
20/9/2019 08:36 | Specialist Components Ltd (Harwood Capital) just issued details of a PIK Loan Note for 27.5m. Does this mean the price they are actually prepared to pay is 15p | fordmccomb
20/9/2019 08:24 | "The company needs to expand by acquisition (one of its key objectives) however there were comments made by shareholders at the AGM that they did not wish to suffer further dilution. Under these circumstances i can understand the decision made and IMO the Directors have made the best decision for the company and importantly its employees." Maybe I'm being unfair, but I can hear a corporate voice dictating that as a public statement. | yump
20/9/2019 07:49 | You best mate with Mills ?This is the wrong price 20p should be the take out price | nico115
19/9/2019 19:56 | It seems seasidehippo has only ever posted on this thread and only been posting this year. That makes me suspicious about his/her real motivations and whether s/he is an insider rather than an investor. | this_is_me
19/9/2019 16:14 | I will be voting in favour of this takeover and will be glad to move on at a modest profit. The company needs to expand by acquisition (one of its key objectives) however there were comments made by shareholders at the AGM that they did not wish to suffer further dilution. Under these circumstances i can understand the decision made and IMO the Directors have made the best decision for the company and importantly its employees. In the absence of all the necessary information it is impossible to comment on whether or not 10p is a fair price for shareholders. I would welcome the views of GHF. | seasidehippo |
