15/4/2006 21:21 | Humph, I've been away for a week in the sun with family so sorry for late reply. Will come back to you on APA in next day or two. Did get £4.50 exactly for my COR holding (cash now in bank) and have followed with interest the ERT saga. For what its worth, I think that Lord Alli has basically told all enquirers that he would have a hissy fit and oppose all/any counter bids as 'hostile' and was too far ahead in the game to be caught. Nice to get one right for a change. Need to do something with the cash. Incidentally, I've dropped the '2' as computer crashed and had to re register, so 'TT' will be fine. | torquayturk
10/4/2006 11:44 | Not sure I'd agree with that, humph. I reckon you can if you look hard enough and seek out the value which hasn't yet been recognised by others. And that would include the likes of SMC, which has already been a bagger for me and has plenty more to come. You want a few others - COL, CTG, BNH, RNWH, MACF - all of which have climbed significantly and have room for more to come. Then there's China - ACHL and CHNS for starters. I'm in this one primarily because of people and ideas, but it looks cheap to me as well. | njp
10/4/2006 11:11 | I'm betting that I'm helping myself! I've discovered that you can't make real big money by sticking to fundamentals. By definition the market will know those and in some way the price will reflect that knowledge. There is no way that currently the market can rationally give a higher value (if any at all) to Apace. I'm backing the people and the ideas. Logically I should take out life insurance on the key personnel. | humphbumph
10/4/2006 11:02 | Just can't help yourself, eh humph! | njp
10/4/2006 10:44 | TT2. I bought 20,000 APA the other day and the 80,000 buy today is my purchase also. Now my holding is 300,000, so help me! | humphbumph
05/4/2006 08:09 | Just increasing their stake. | njp
05/4/2006 07:11 | And another acqusition!! | leadersoffice

10/3/2006 09:44 | hi jwe yes not a lot of numbers to play with. But recently there has been lots of encouraging news coming our way. So I'm backing the management on this one. Seem to be doing a lot of good work behind the scenes. When it will all become reflected in the share price might not be until we have a trading update or some results to chew on. Anyway I'm intending to build up for a longer term holding so as long as I've judged correctly in the main. I'm happy enough to accumulate at these levels. | staymour
10/3/2006 09:06 | staymour-i agree a strange muted reaction. However it is difficult to actually tell what this worth to the company, although its obviously positive. | jwe
10/3/2006 08:50 | further positive news today..... not attracted much interest. Very strange! Oh well have added a few more. Still have great hopes for this one. | staymour
03/3/2006 14:33 | SCAP were bidding for stock earlier today at the mid - looks like someone took the bait... not me though ;-) Interested to see the size of the T's coming in later... | macansy77
27/2/2006 22:36 | It means: 'In Very Quick's very humble opinion'! | humphbumph
27/2/2006 21:37 | Thanks for the info Humph, strongly suspect you are correct. Where is Ron Jones? No doubt 250 miles away in Llanelli trying to sell a worthless plot of land to very wary developers. Looked at the balance sheet for TIN more than once and it looks to me as if they do not even own the freehold of their property in one of the cheapest commercial property areas in the western world. I really do like the look of this set up though. I have a slight cashflow problem in as much as I fancy another chunk of Apace but need to make a decision on when to dip out of COR inorder to do so. May well stick with COR for a week or three as I think that Apax must have a tilt and £4.60 still looks cheap. No doubt Lord Ali has thought this through and will probably get his way in the end at say £5.00 a share. IMHO (can anyone tell me what this means?) | torquay turk2
27/2/2006 17:41 | hmmm... T trade sell of 133333 reported at the end of the day - I reckon that is someone selling from the 15p placing back late last year. Would equate to £20k. Can understand taking a profit but surely a little more patience would've paid dividends (excuse the pun) ;-) | macansy77
27/2/2006 10:42 | TT2, I just thought I'd let you know that I've bought another 50,000 Apace shares this morning at 21.5p. (Total held now 200,000 at £47K+ !)I can see what's happening there. Chris Rowlands who used to be the CEO of Television Corporation (and now COO of Apace) is signing up the good contract gaining staff forced out of TCP by the Tinopolis takeover. | humphbumph
27/2/2006 08:48 | NJP - no problem ;-) Todays announcement came a bit out of the blue but confirms what i'd been lead to believe, namely that news flow was going to accelerate over the coming weeks. Hopefully it should finally give this largely unnoticed company a much higher profile and the recognition it deserves... | macansy77
27/2/2006 08:39 | Added this morning at 20p. Thanks, macansy for your excellent write ups. Management looks very impressive, acquisitions shrewd and price looks v cheap at 20p, given what earnings could be in 2006/7. | njp
24/2/2006 17:24 | bit mystified myself but am happy enough to gradually accumulate round the 20p level , and hope for a decent rise as the company's profile becomes more widely appreciated. | staymour
24/2/2006 10:31 | I see Seymour Pierce blue though. | jabberstocky
24/2/2006 08:03 | What have I missed here? A largeish directors buy and an announcement of a TV programme deal is usually a signal for the share price to rise - but it went down!! Somebody please explain why to this naive holder of APA!!! | thunderchicken
23/2/2006 16:37 | thats the Unilever deal which we've been waiting for... | macansy77
23/2/2006 16:26 | Could the second RNS explain the first? | goldcooper
23/2/2006 10:58 | I bought 50,000 at 18.8 just after 9.00am. It's down as a sell on ADVFN just like the 100k above! | humphbumph
23/2/2006 09:25 | just picked off 100k at 18.8 - crazy opportunity in light of the director buy. | macansy77 |
