Appointment of a new Independent Non-Executive Director
AO World plc is pleased to announce that Sarah Venning has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from today, 1 November 2022.
Sarah Venning is current Global Chief Digital Officer at Pret A Manger leading its digital and technological transformation with a clear focus on customer service. She has over 20 years' experience in digital and IT fields across retail, hospitality and transport sectors having worked previously at John Lewis Partnership and BAA.
Commenting on the appointment, Geoff Cooper, Chairman of AO, said "We are delighted to welcome Sarah as a Non-Executive Director. Sarah's skill set and experience in digital transformation and information technology, combined with her passion for excellent customer service will be of great benefit to the Board and AO as we focus on our UK strategy. "
