Gentlemen,

Take a look at the prospectus and notes to the accounts, 15 and 22. The profit, such as it is, is through insurance commission credited on Day One.

This is all fine and dandy but what happens when this commission is cut back. It has happened before.

I think it could head to 80p

Is the CEO still looking as smug as when he ridiculed Dixons on flotation day ?
Their shares are up 14% since that day.
These are down 32% from the flotation price.
Doubt he gives a toss. Already made his fortune at the expense of the punters who overpaid for an over-hyped business.

Who knows, sub £1?

Not saying business is no good just the stupid valuation.

I have been puzzling over the reasons behind AO.'s market cap and was listening to their CEO on the radio the other day. I was left with a bit of a feeling of "cult personality", not in a David Koresh type way but as a friendly, bloke-down-the-pub type chap who happened to take on a bet and leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling after chatting with him.

A bit like Neville Wilshire.

Jeffries - BUY AO.

AO World (AO/ LN): Positive Tone from NYC Meetings
Rating BUY
Price Target 410.00p

Key Takeaway
The AO management set a positive tone in recent investor meetings. Despite the downward trajectory of the equity price, the core business, UK TV and the prospective German launch remain very much on track. Q1 15 AO website sales near +40% YoY, Germany getting close, natural search issues linger however. With repeat customer revenues nudging 40% of the mix, brand momentum and customer experience seems in good shape.

Thought successful listing of Dixons-Carphone may have put a downer on things here

Does this founder care ? He bigged them up, dissed Dixons and has run off with his over-sized cut of the flotation proceeds.
Look at where the respective share prices have of the two companies have gone since.
