Hi the-doctor,
Everyone except 4 directors have been fired in antisoma.

Directors salaries have been slashed to 29000, 30000, 3000 and 1 unknown (new director Ross Hollyman). Therefore, money drain has stopped and should be covered from interest of money in the bank and remaining 1mil annual payments for the drug they previously sold off. They also have some large tax offset available to them due to previous R&D activity.

All money will now be invested in to a range of smaller investments (probably non-pharmaceutical) rather than 1 or 2 high risk drugs (Avg. 70% failure rate per drug).

The future looks bright,

After trading this a few times, I cant really see any point to this co.
Like some others, it will IMO just fritter away the cash it has on some other gambles, while of course paying directors too much for not doing a lot.

AKT on the other hand I think has a lot of potential and could see nice gains...

50p would be a nice price now. Another failed pharma to join the legion.

Another month passes with no news - though today has been 'enlivened' by a further slump in share price

Yes we have written it off (not just mentally) but for me it is similar to reading horoscopes in newspapers, one knows that they are rubbish but sometimes they raise a smile.

I suppose the issue is we have all mentally written this one off.
Presumably there are few shareholders left with any real value.
Directors can take advantage of our apathy and milk it dry for themselves.

When are they going to make their first investment? Time is passing. There are many businesses crying out for funding allegedly - surely some of them are worth a punt? Meanwhile the cash trickles away.

ditto - they proved themselves incapable of investing in stuff which worked when they were a 'real' company - why would it be expected that they'd be any better at it as a virtual one?

Their only value is as a shell for someone to reverse into, but even then the likelihood of shareholders ever being able to sell for more than if the cash were just distributed now is very unlikely indeed.

GIVE UP AND GIVE THE SHAREHOLDERS BACK THE CASH

Why don't they just give the remaining money back to shareholders? - Oh - I get it - to continue the ongoing gravy train at further continued shareholders expense.

In point of fact [with reference to post 5736 above] the current value of the shares broadly = the cash held, assuming cash of £12m.

Investing that cash to make a return is of far more interest to me than selling for its current value. I rather hope it is NOT in pharma.

Sadly, this company just strikes me as pointless now

The products they sold generated barely anything and it sounds as if there'll be no value remaining from those but royalties - which would be years away

They should IMO close up and return cash to investors

I'm not a shareholder here.

The only people that'll make money will be the advisers that take their annual fees.

The 10m plus trades this morning and 4m on monday may have taken ORA to over 28%

My guess is that the move to the AIM will coincide with a merger or suchlike with one of ORA's other investments.

I've had ASM in the past and done ok with them....have just taken 75k shrs which doesn't show up on either Level 2 or Plus, on the strength of eventually something worthwhile coming up as a result of the ORA holding.
