04/6/2014 09:28 | good morning pico. its nice to see a little upward movement what ever the reason. You have lost me with your 4th wave, is this part of the Elliot Wave Theory? To me it is the reaction to the sale of Travel at a good price. After the profit takers have sold, the price is moving up on little volume. Unfortunately the market has not recognised AIE's true value, we will need good results for that ,but a good situation as the BOD has shown good execution of their plan .Which bodes well for the future. As always good to read your posts ,keep up the good work . cheers | 2flatpack
04/6/2014 08:30 | Certainly looks like the price is preparing for a 4th wave run to 140p in the next few months. Thinking about it, it's a shame folks don't bother studying for their CMT before investing. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. This share needs to correct for time lost against the ftse & for value added (contacts/contracts/ I think people must start to appreciate that this company, unlike others has managed to keep to expectations despite market conditions. | picobird
03/6/2014 17:53 | i reckon we'll see 100 this week | brando69
03/6/2014 17:06 | Curse my fat fingers should be things not thongs, although would not mind a demo of how thongs are looking aswell perhaps modeled by tasty looking young lady. | werty5
03/6/2014 17:02 | Well it is progress all be it very s-l-o-w. Would like to see price stable over £1 feel that any large move north will not happen until the next TU when the BOD at anite will need to nail their colours to the mast and give as clear a view as possible as to how thongs are looking for the year ahead. Having said that I feel at long last everything is moving the right way and I am a happy holder for the time being. | werty5
03/6/2014 12:43 | Agreed. Especially if you apply the Elliot Wave theory. Would the brokers be CMT qualified I wonder? Probably the news today: Anite & Elektrobit are using Lte in the Public Safety sector - big market. Elektrobit are not cheap but they are the best. The cash will be useful for this. Anite are expanding out wards into new sectors before the competition. | picobird
03/6/2014 12:37 | Feels to me that we are gearing for a strong move north | brando69
03/6/2014 12:23 | At least they are all buy recommendations. So the share price can move up & in one month they can reassess their targets after the results & briefing. Be nice to have news about new contract wins, etc. All takes time, Like brando69 said, 'penny here & there' - all adds up in the right direction :)) | picobird
03/6/2014 09:13 | Hold on to your hats....Canaccord have also reiterated their BUY and 106p target tis morning. Exciting innit. | muscletrade
03/6/2014 07:42 | Jefferies retain their BUY and 110p target this morning. | muscletrade
31/5/2014 10:29 | Good luck to mainlybooks. Good to have lots of opinions & we have to respect them even if they are the polar opposites of our own. The travel sale was a MBO by the director of the travel business backed by the Lloyds private equity division. The CEO has said this will enable the company to accelerate the growth of the wireless testing solutions business, so an acquisition can be expected fairly soon. Anyone doubting the shelf life of Anite should google the Shares magazine articles relating to the company's offerings. Anite is going to be around for a long time in one form or another. Personally I am very happy holding my shareholding despite the extreme swings in the share price That is because Anite has a very rosy future & a little research by the doom mongers would not go amiss. The next couple of months will hopefully convince one & all that the fortunes of Anite are changing dramatically for the better. Not that they have suffered any profit setbacks only a setback in sentiment down to uncertainty over market conditions. Anite Travel customers would only be happy with the existing management at. 31/5/2014 00:15 | mainlybooks, thanks for your input, an interesting insight...into the mix it goes, good luck to you | rathlindri
30/5/2014 20:56 | Hi Brando I have worked in this company and for many years in mainstream Telco I have followed this thread for the last few years but limited to my input previously as an insider and found it really informed and interesting when I joined the company and now my knowledge is no longer so current however my opinion is still my own fwiw The biggest question for me is what value a takeover puts on a product which has a limited shelf life; is out in China (where patent law appears to be irrelevant) and has little protection outside of the speed of change in the industry elsewhere.Consolidat I think the true value of the company will be seen to be the key individuals who create the products and built the current solution from scratch including hardware and software. With 5G on the horizon that is the value of Anite imo Anyway GLA (particularly the long term holders) I'm out and signing off | mainlybooks
30/5/2014 16:04 | Fair comment Salpara, I can only hope that you are wrong (I suspect you may not be though). The seeming indifference of the broker targets certainly gives cause for concern and is starkly at odds with some of the cheerleaders here... If the desired recovery isn't well underway by middle of July after final results are known then I have a difficult decision to make and probably a hefty loss to swallow. | rathlindri
30/5/2014 16:02 | Why did you buy this Salpara? | mbmiah
30/5/2014 14:35 | Market inital reaction is usually a good indicator of how the share price will behave in the forsseable future and the reaction was a collective shrug of the shoulders. Sentiment is against them and is likely to remain so for a considerable period of time so a takeover is the best chance I have of acheiving break even here. I rememeber investing heavily in Interserve back when the share price was below £2. The business fundamentals suggested that they were seriously undervalued but all the analysts were pretty much in agreement that the share price was fair. The business itself did not suddenly change but for whatever reason analysts started to place much higher targets on the stock and low and behold the share price has risen by over 300% in under 5 years. I do not feel anywhere near as confident in my investment here as I did when buying IRV back in the day | salpara111
30/5/2014 12:29 | Salpara the news is less than 24 hours old for heavens sake! | brando69
30/5/2014 10:41 | Hmmm, selling the travel business will affect the share price positively (6p up at one time yesterday). It will not increase the profits by having more cash in the bank, quite the reverse it will dilute earnings. A door has opened or is about to be opened, that door has already been planned in the form of an acquisition most probably. It is a nice situation to be in & the opportunity that avails itself will not be squandered. At SPT they never seem to know quite what to do with cash piles, they seem to pull ideas out of a hat. | picobird |
