01/6/2024 15:36 | The biggest shareholding in RIO is 14.5% and its a corporation! | eggbaconandbubble
01/6/2024 14:42 | Can't see Rio making an offer but I think Glen was always a good bet but it would stretch them. They have already said that they don't mind owning the South African assets. | cobourg1
01/6/2024 13:50 | THINK WE MIGHT SEE RIO OR GLEN MAKE AN OFFER WHICH WOULD MAKE THINGS INTERESTING AS BHP COULD JOIN BACK IN ALL TO PLAY FOR . | spier40
01/6/2024 12:05 | The fact that the uncrossing trade went through at the high price is interesting. Buy the rumour, sell the fact. Seems early for another offer, but then again, why not if someone was already working on a counter bid. | cobourg1
31/5/2024 19:17 | Whole lotta monster BUY trades went through (or posted) after close. What's all that about? | eggbaconandbubble
30/5/2024 21:53 | I'd spin off de beers and give shareholders share options. | pander45
30/5/2024 10:44 | Keep the diamonds and platinum in AAL and the rest moves into a stand alone subsidiary company | dewalt
30/5/2024 10:12 | Yeah that's my view too as previously posted. The price today makes me feel 2400 is the low, give or take, meaning in general we can add with confidence that eventually circa 2900 should be achieved in a year be that by the company getting its house in order or via a better structured takeover bid. Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
30/5/2024 09:15 | I reckon that's already agreed. Solving the SA problems (divesting platinum/diamonds etc) is easier for AAL to do alone, outside of a signed agreement, and in six months a simplified takeover should happen. | juliemara
30/5/2024 09:00 | I think AAL's own proposals will strengthen the share price long term, possibly after a bit of movement following BHP walking away, although if AAL lose some of the "chaff" then I do think there is a further possibility of BHP coming back in 6 months+ | casket1
30/5/2024 08:48 | If the board don't get this share price north through positive actions they are toast. Simple evolution. | pander45
29/5/2024 22:17 | Take some money, but I think the board have been shown the way forward and in a short time they will consolidate into a more compact and agile company and the price will recover from low twenties | dewalt
29/5/2024 19:36 | Get your cash out tomorrow for you long term holders! | sundial1
29/5/2024 17:51 | I think the opportunity has been missed by the Anglo board, it was not a bad offer needed fine tuning.BHP was not that desperate to keep increasing the offer compared the share price before the interest it was good offer.I can only see Anglo dropping back to around £20 by August.More selling tomorrow I guess. | zam1
29/5/2024 17:39 | Thanks for the update,Tufty. Only I am still holding some from when they were over 30 and bought some more recent. I am holding the old ones for div.s but was hoping to break even with all atleast. | vas007
29/5/2024 17:26 | foxy22- Just out of interest, do you read posts as well as write them? Who did you think you were informing with that nugget of info (that was released 45mins earlier by BHP and was already being commented upon here)?? | juliemara
29/5/2024 16:25 | Going to be fun and games tomorrow no doubt........ Personally think the Board have made a Horlicks of it, but who knows. | jason29
29/5/2024 15:57 | Bhp no further offer | foxy22
29/5/2024 15:40 | Now, let's see whether Wanblad can match his rhetoric with actual action!! | juliemara
29/5/2024 14:26 | Hey VAS007, My view is no deal today. I think BHP have gone as far as they are willing to go right now and won't "overpay" for what is a complex company. They would sooner come back once AAL have let go some of the unwanted parts of the business and look at the whole economic picture with fresh eyes in 6 months time. I hope I am wrong and they do come back in the next 90 minutes with a higher / cleaner offer but can't see it and neither can the market based on todays price action. While obviously not happy we all can't get a nice quick profit I am ok with holding / adding as one thing's for sure and that's the demand for copper isn't going away anytime soon. Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
29/5/2024 14:16 | Actually would prefer a Deal happen and BHP then list in London. as has been suggested, but who knows what is going to happen........ | jason29
29/5/2024 14:00 | From a UK perspective better we stay independent and remain on the FTSE. The bid indicates the prevailing share price did not reflect true value. Still a good LTBH but will be volatile for the foreseeable. | pcok |
