03/11/2013 21:49 | More hell for the iron ore bears, I see it was up 2.5% on Friday, to USD135.3/t. How can so many analysts be so ridiculously wrong on IO price (and all the company valuations that follow on). Deffo DYOR. | noccer
01/11/2013 19:33 | will be able to get up to date shorts figure on lim mon or tues | laserdisc

01/11/2013 11:36 | Was watching the weather in Schefferville, last week was first real cold one, and I should think would mean the end of any wet processing. I think they planned on saving lump ore for the late shipments as it doesn't frreze so bad. LIM have submitted an application to mine Gill next year. As far as I recall James should be worked out with ore coming from Redmond and old IOC stockpiles. NML are currently building their 16km rail link to connect up to the LIM spur at Silver Yards with the intention of finishing it by end of year. Its not clear if they are still trucking ore to Silver Yards for loading, but they did at least manage to get one Panamax of ore out of the door. I wonder what will happen in the winter, with NML intending to mine all year round and also process inside their mega-dome, when they eventually complete it. Will LIM try mining and crushing in the winter season? Iron ore price is still holding up around USD132/t. 12 months swaps are about USD116. CAD still shows weakness relative to USD, worth about 4.5%. | noccer
31/10/2013 15:26 | and agree the directors should be buying buying buying, but as with most junior miners they seldom do. Red rock resources and Andrew Bell is the perfect example. Their happy to take their options and free lunch but don't want to work for it. Most of us could run most of these company better with more spirit then these numpties. | rajaster
31/10/2013 15:24 | capt those sells are probably CFDs stale bulls closing what little they have left of their positions. | rajaster
31/10/2013 05:35 | Crumbs on the bigger scale. As I said nothing left to shake out at this level. They want sellers they are going to have top get this back to a range at which those in at recent lows can make a small profit or breakeven and can move to somewhere the directors stand up to be counted such as SAV. | captj
30/10/2013 16:23 | interesting 37792 just been sold on isdx so we now have 118k of buys against 117792 sells i reckon some early morning sell trades were going through initially to try and drag out more sellers , that was not achieved see what tomorrow brings | laserdisc
30/10/2013 16:00 | Laser - The two low ball sells maybe tic tac messages as otherwise just not worth bothering about. Still no apparent reason it is languishing so low as can be no big sellers unless they want to throw away their money. I'd like to see news on shipping value and some director buys as no reason even a little positive news couldn't get this reversing direction. If we (PI's) can invest in the ventures based on Directors spouting, surely they can buy in unless they don't even believe themselves. | captj
30/10/2013 14:28 | captj looking at the overall trades i make it 118k of buys against 80k of sells today 5.37p to sell | laserdisc
30/10/2013 13:24 | 50 gbp and 75 gbp sells whats all that about. Can't believe anyone selling at this level as no chance is anyone making money down here. Sure they have shaken the tree so hard even the branches have capitulated and only the stump left. | captj
30/10/2013 06:03 | Mike, at level we currently are their lack of interest is shocking. Company directors with any interest in the company rather than their own pockets would be buying at these low lows as at least a sign of support. It would seem the more they earn here the less news we get and less interest they seem to have, other than milking for their own gain. Pary's has been one fudge after another and LIM now following the same trend. Hard to believe these are the same guys who had the acumen and foresight to first invest in LIM while spouting PARY's development, yet who now are invisible, failed to deliver on PARY's and seem intent on squandering LIM holding while incapable of getting news flow or buying in, to support current fall. IO price is in their favour yet it is almost as if having initially delivered they are intent on driving the price into the ground (for whatever end). Largest holding and pointless not hanging on till 2014 (which was my end date from first purchase but confidence in current board totally non existent as seem incapable of delivering.Had hoped divi payments would be forth coming from 2014 or 2015 latest to fund work wind down but that looks a forlorn hope currently. | captj
29/10/2013 18:17 | captj Comments in your post echo my sentiments entirely. If the Directors of this company removed their fingers from all the pies they have them in, and concentrated on running THIS company profitably and for the benefit of the shareholders, then maybe, just maybe, they would as you say be able and enthusiastic enough to put their hands in their pockets and show some support along with the long suffering shareholders over the years. Lack of information, communication and compassion from the Directors is legendary, they show about as much thought and compassion to shareholders as does a lion on a zebras back - SHAME ON THEM!! mikehutch2 (formerly pickaxe2) | mikehutch2
29/10/2013 16:20 | A year ago we were in a worse position and selling ore at a loss. We are now in a slightly better position and selling our ore at a profit, that's if we are actually shipping which would be good news but is not being highlighted by silent management, yet price continues to tank. Have they all got there head in the sand. Come on directors get some positive news out on shipping amount and potential earnings and get your hand in your pockets and support the share as it is not as if you are not getting paid enough to watch value destroyed. Current performance in any other job would have you all looking for work. Enough said. GLA | captj
28/10/2013 21:20 | nielsc, would it be worth adding longish-term Zn/Cu/Pb price charts to your header? Or would that make it too long perhaps? Maybe Fe too but I was mainly thinking of Parys. rrr | rrr
28/10/2013 21:18 | Thanks again. I wonder if "18 months to 2 years" is realistic, mining seldom seems to run to schedule. | rrr
28/10/2013 20:49 | LIM will be reporting 6mths to 30/9/2013 around 3 weeks away say week ending 15/11/2013 there is a possibilty they may add to the lim rns info on parys see marth's post 2390 "This place will look an awful lot different on your next visit lets hope the quote comes true metal prices do need to improve | laserdisc
28/10/2013 20:39 | Thanks very much laser I didn't see that. So the next regular announcement will be a half-yearly report towards the end of Nov? | rrr
28/10/2013 20:34 | they stated in July evaluate all the options for moving this project forward to production. suppose it depends on metal prices would expect a further update say end of year. jks other co Canadian zinc is proceeding with production hxxp://www.canadianz | laserdisc
28/10/2013 20:24 | they probably still have around 500k in cash. extract from the last accounts 23/7/2013 Micon had also made progress on a scoping study for Parys Mountain but given the current market conditions the company has decided to have a fundamental review of the technical and geological information available and to evaluate all the options for moving this project forward to production. In July 2012 a net profits royalty on production from Parys Mountain was bought out and cancelled and outstanding advance royalty payments of £759,680 were settled for a cash payment of £630,000 and the issue of 2,000,000 ordinary shares. Cancellation of that royalty will improve both the economics and the ability to finance the Parys Mountain project. We hold freehold title to the area of Parys Mountain that contains all our known resources and infrastructure. We have very low on-going cash commitments and these remain well within the current financial capability of the company, allowing us the benefit of time to make assessment without any risk of loss of resources. We continue to closely watch base metal markets both from a price perspective as well as from a materials supply view. We remain confident that the zinc copper and lead in Parys Mountain will improve firstly in relative demand which will flow through to higher prices in the medium term and we will be well prepared to take advantage of this at the appropriate time. | laserdisc
28/10/2013 20:00 | It'd be nice to have a better idea what the plan is for Parys. Has a scoping study been published yet??? Nov 2012: "Parys Mountain The 2012 drilling programme at Parys Mountain which was commenced in January has been completed with 12 holes totalling in excess of 2,000 metres having been drilled. The results from all these holes have now been received and have added significantly to the data base and more importantly to the better understanding of the geology and the potential location of mineralisation. The last set of holes drilled about 1,200 metres to the east of the Morris Shaft have demonstrated the lateral extent of mineralisation. During the period the Intermine future royalty was bought out in its entirety for 2,000,000 shares and $C1 million (£0.63m). Micon has completed a revised ore resource estimate for the entire site and this will be published shortly. Based on this new resource Micon is close to completing a scoping study for the development of the White Rock and Engine zones initially utilising decline access from a location close to the planned processing plant. On receipt of this study the directors will review all the options available to progress development of Parys Mountain as a mining operation." August 2013: "Parys Mountain Operations at Parys Mountain have been limited since the last report and largely confined to care and maintenance of the facilities. Nevertheless a geological review of the property based in a large part on the results from last year's drilling programme has commenced and is expected to lead to a reappraisal of development targets which will be an input into revisions to the Scoping Study." | rrr |
