14/5/2020 11:03 | Yes. Thanks mad. Hope you are well, too. Wasn't this platform designed to help money lenders move the share price up and down while we were on our way to selling our massive asset ? Still waiting. | showercubicle

13/5/2020 17:09 | Hi Shower, hope you are good. There have certainly been times over the past few years when we've seen this type trading. It's always coincided with hooky financing as Robin has always managed to line up those sorts deals. Hopefully he may come good on a decent deal and honour a self set deadline some day. | madengland_
13/5/2020 12:28 | Can any of our long termers help us here? | showercubicle
13/5/2020 12:24 | From memory, I think this was arranged by AMC to suit a previous pseudo investor. Lanstead, maybe ? | showercubicle
13/5/2020 12:21 | Not pretending to understand this either. Is it just to frustrate and frighten off investors ? Millions of shares are being bought/sold, not just these silly amounts. | showercubicle
13/5/2020 12:09 | But what's a point with such low volumes? I understand if someone wanted to buy or sell large amount, but it is not looking to be a case, so why are they doing this??? | qui quaerit reperit
13/5/2020 11:52 | The DMA platform allows brokers to buy and sell without costs so it would be very easy to manipulate prices. They can therefore move the price up or down with impunity, could they not ? | showercubicle
12/5/2020 18:32 | The small trades are now being reported for the last month or so, but no idea what they are and different opinions flying around about it... | qui quaerit reperit

11/5/2020 16:51 | Direct market access (DMA) is a term used in financial markets to describe electronic trading facilities that give investors wishing to trade in financial instruments a way to interact with the order book of an exchange. Normally, trading on the order book is restricted to broker-dealers and market making firms that are members of the exchange. Using DMA, investment companies (also known as buy side firms) and other private traders use the information technology infrastructure of sell side firms such as investment banks and the market access that those firms possess, but control the way a trading transaction is managed themselves rather than passing the order over to the broker's own in-house traders for execution. Today, DMA is often combined with algorithmic trading giving access to many different trading strategies. Certain forms of DMA, most notably "sponsored access", have raised substantial regulatory concerns because of the possibility of a malfunction by an investor to cause widespread market disruption.[1] | showercubicle
11/5/2020 16:48 | Let's not forget; There are several motivations for why a trader may choose to use DMA rather than alternative forms of order placement: DMA usually offers lower transaction costs because only the technology is being paid for and not the usual order management and oversight responsibilities that come with an order passed to a broker for execution. Orders are handled directly by the originator giving them more control over the final execution and the ability to exploit liquidity and price opportunities more quickly. Information leakage is minimised because the trading is done anonymously using the DMA provider's identity as a cover. DMA systems are also generally shielded from other trading desks within the provider's organisation by a Chinese wall. Direct market access allows a user to 'Trade the Spread' of a stock. This is facilitated by the permission of entering your order onto the 'Level 2' order book, effectively negating the need to pass through a broker or dealer. | showercubicle
