15/10/2015 13:07 | I think its the Scientology school of attack being the best form of defense. There is something odd about Globo, there is a small risk that there is Polly Peck style fraud going on there as something does not add up. As you say the bond business only strengthened the bear case. Amino is a very different beast, happy days here. Great statement on Monday from Tristel (TSTL) and today from Zytronic (ZYT). My type of companies. | rcturner2
15/10/2015 13:04 | Hi RCT2, Yes I was referring to him. I used the common sense test with GBO. The metrics look good to a computer, but computers don't ask why a company would be prepared to take out a loan and incur very high interest charges when their accounts show they have a much larger sum in cash earning negligible interest. Sounds like you have your very own stalker. Lucky you. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
15/10/2015 12:46 | You did 0.2p better than me so I have just checked - the situation is now that I am bid 155.0001p to sell and offered 155 to buy! That does not happen very often! | sharw
15/10/2015 12:29 | I think there is a bit more what drives a share price than that. But thanks for your input | a1pappadingdong
15/10/2015 12:10 | I'm pretty sure there are roughly an equal amount of buys and sells, otherwise the price would have moved. (economics chapter 1). | rarther
15/10/2015 11:45 | SharwI thought I would put what you said to the test, and I also just topped up at 155 and it has shown as a sale, so you are absolutely right (I did believe you, just wanted to check and top up anyway!)My previous purchase was in my spread betting account and therefore didn't show.So in that case there has more likely been lots of buyers recently, which makes more sense given the low PEG, good fundamentals and outlook. Many thanks again all | a1pappadingdong
15/10/2015 11:14 | I think it will take a little while for the dust to settle, as they need a full year with Entone in the numbers to really demonstrate that the acquisitions are benefiting the bottom line. | rcturner2
15/10/2015 10:58 | Topped up this morning at 155.2. This emphasises my earlier post about artificial quoted spreads and the effect on computer categorisation of reported trades. Officially it is 155 159 this morning. In reality it is 155/155.2 Agree - there is lots to like about this company. I first came in after a review from Gervais Williams, one of the few fund managers for whom I have respect. Earnings are expected to grow 30% next year for a PEG of 0.5. The May acquisition of Booxmedia looks very good following the recent contract wins and if Entone proves equally good this could take off. | sharw
15/10/2015 10:38 | buffy, if you are referring to J777J as the bitter poster, he lost a lot of money on Globo and I think posted on here simply because I own Amino (I was bearish on GBO after selling at 65p). I don't think he had actually looked at the company in any great detail. More of a troll. | rcturner2
15/10/2015 10:24 | SharwThanks for that, I see now that last Octobers trading statement was a one off. I seriously need to update my trading calendar!Like I said, lots to like about this company IMO so happy to hold and may top up again before the trading statement.Cheers | a1pappadingdong
15/10/2015 10:15 | I've just come to this board, having bought some AMO for my SIPP and some spreadbets. The first thing I do is look to see who the regular posters are. There's usually one or two who you can rely on to provide a good history/summary by reading back through their posts, and there's usually one bitter poster who posts rubbish, who no doubt has lost money 'investing' in the company. Before I bought I looked at valuations of similar companies. It's clear that valuations are higher in the US. I understand that PACE wanted Motorola Home when it was spun off from Google (I think it was). Their low valuation meant they couldn't bid enough (I presume using shares as a major component) and the winning bidder was smaller than PACE and then went on to buy PACE. The aforementioned bitter poster seemed to be saying that AMO's valuation is ridiculous. It may well be, but because it's on the low side! Will AMO receive a bid approach in 18-24 months? Who knows.. 14/10/2015 08:43 | "...any day now". As Caradog says trading statements have been around period end - 04 Dec 2012, 25 Nov 2013, 04 Dec 2014. Last year only there was a very brief extra one on 13th Oct as a profit warning (of the nice variety). In the absence of such this year we can assume profits in line with expectations. | sharw
14/10/2015 08:13 | Looking back, very probably you are rightLots to like about this company IMO, growing nicely and ticks all my boxes.Let's see what the trading statement is like, it should be any day now. | a1pappadingdong
14/10/2015 08:11 | The year end is Nov 30, so you can expect a trading update around that time. Last year it came on Dec 4. | caradog
14/10/2015 07:57 | "...everybody's selling" Not necessarily -this is one of those small caps where official quote and reality differ. Yesterday the official offer price was 161 all day but buys were actually between 157.5 and 158.5p. The result is that the computer-generated table shows all sells or ? whereas the majority of shares traded were buys. | sharw
13/10/2015 22:28 | Looks like it cos everybody's selling, lolI guess the news is already out there (note to self: get better contacts) | a1pappadingdong
13/10/2015 07:47 | Trading update soon? | a1pappadingdong
22/9/2015 07:33 | It would be interesting to know what sort of financial impact these contract wins are having. | rcturner2
22/9/2015 07:29 | More good news on the contract front as a direct result of the Booxmedia acquisition earlier this year: | hyperboreus
09/9/2015 08:34 | Bouncing off the support line nicely. | rcturner2
01/9/2015 07:40 | New contract win: | rcturner2
26/8/2015 10:18 | Volatility sorts out the men from the boys. | rcturner2
24/8/2015 10:53 | Still well above 130p placing.Peeps will be keen to lock in any profits in this market | j777j |
