No mention of any mini LNG in RNS, are you taking from some twitter account?

I think long term holders over 50 should reconsider their investment.....

If they do get a mini-LNG thing going, then perhaps they could truck to neighbouring countries - which might explain the reference to US$ and shillings. Because there's no way Tanz has the forex to pay for gas in US$.

Foreign sales are another matter.

I have read it somewhere, Greying. But now cant find it! May be I am mistaken. And certainly the poster on wall of the signing ceremony talks of "mini" LNG. Which would not be the offshore gas development?

More delays with pipeline. I bet it doesn’t get completed in 2024.

Not 100% sure it is for the offshore gas, Edgar. Some of the blurb, reported on Telegram from the minister seems to suggest providing gas to smaller communities, presumably by trucked LNG. As you say, small wellhead plants exist, and there’s a lot of gas at Ntorya, apparently. So it might make sense.

Be nice to know the price agreed in the GSA though! I think part of the trouble is ARA are private and seem very keen to keep as much as possible close tho their chest. Still, they can only do it for so long

They have a photo of an agreement being signed. And the subtitle to the photo (in Swahili says:

Dr. BITEKO WITNESSES THE SIGNING OF THE AGREEMENT FOR THE SALE OF NATURAL GAS WITH THE INSTALLATION
SIGN AGREEMENT DOCUMENT LNG PROJECT.

I am not familiar with these things, but would find it strange that two unrelated agreements with different parties are being signed/witnessed at the same time.

Perhaps they are going to produce LNG at the point of extraction and truck it while they wait for the pipeline to be completed. Good to note ARA are working with the Tanzanian authorities to get the pipeline completed as soon as possible.

Does anyone have any idea why the signing ceremony makes reference to an MoU for a mini-LNG, but that has never been mentioned in any AEX comms or todays RNS?

Let’s remember this was at 1.2p at the beginning of November in anticipation of this news. It is only right that it gets back to 1.2p before the RNS as the rise we are waiting for should take this much higher than 1.2p. A large amount of news can now be released with the Government final sign off in the bag.
