17/7/2018 08:56 | Gerry you are very kind.Pleased to see sentiment about the deal changing.Exciting and profitable times ahead.Love the pics of C1 targeting multiple targets and comparing the size of the channels to N2.N2 already a monster discovery. C1 could be incredible. | edgar222
17/7/2018 08:31 | yes, like you say, They liked the "price/risk ratio". at the time, so maybe it could now start to look attractive to them again or some other II. | blackgold00
17/7/2018 08:27 | The penny is dropping. Yip looks like all the stupid muppets who sold out on the spike are buying back cheaper. They might even get lucky and do it again someday. | gerryjames
17/7/2018 08:21 | The funds they paid bought the shares. One tranche...none since. It's not an active investment fund. | gerryjames
17/7/2018 08:20 | moving up, looks like the penny is dropping | blackgold00
17/7/2018 08:13 | no not the funds that they paid into Aminex, but their share-holding investment fund, that majedie now own in Aminex. what class of fund would it be. | blackgold00
17/7/2018 08:05 | It was for the placing. They liked the "price/risk ratio". At the time presumably. | gerryjames
17/7/2018 08:02 | well yes jerry, i haven't a clue what the majedie fund in Aminex is fore. | blackgold00
17/7/2018 07:49 | Risk ratio! Lol....first time he's mentioned risk....the ramping fool. Yes money is the root of all evil. BG you can buy into any risk profile you like. They are not recommended as a pension. The risk ratio will go down when there's a licence and Holland invade. | gerryjames
17/7/2018 07:47 | After the formal presntation Jay was asked 1:1 about the geology suggested by some of the slides. IIRC there is evidence of iron pyrites (?) which may suggest hydrogen sulphide, but according to Jay that is not the case and at Kiliwani it is almost pure methane. | haideralifool
17/7/2018 07:46 | Blackgold, And with the ARA deal through to production, leaving Aminex self funding, the risk ratio for Aminex just plummeted. Here come the ii's. | haggismchaggis
17/7/2018 07:40 | well majedie got involved with Aminex/Tanzania when the risk was a lot higher than it is today. though i guess with any investment, its about risk/reward over investment/ratio. if that makes sense. | blackgold00
17/7/2018 07:31 | Ah I never actually asked that!! You're quite right off course, Lol. | dunderheed
17/7/2018 07:29 | Which City? What mates? | gerryjames
17/7/2018 07:25 | Well surely that is as good as haggis with all his big city mates?! | dunderheed
17/7/2018 07:22 | With the professionals. And not O@G minnows obviously. | gerryjames
17/7/2018 07:17 | gerry, where would you put your pension pot now days to get some growth ? | blackgold00
16/7/2018 23:44 | 2019 is shaping up to be the biggest year ever for Aminex.ARA can (and it sounds like they are planning to) get Chikumbi-1 drilled and tested this year, the 3D seismic can also be done this year. So next year we'll get a pipeline connected to Mtwara and first gas production and revenues from Ntorya/Chikumbi, the 3D seismic will be interpreted with a likely increase in the resources, then a four (or more?) back-to-back well drilling campaign. There's no way Aminex and Solo could have done this on their own let alone in that time frame, without incurring massive dilution, so the farm-out is an excellent result for shareholders and we have A LOT to look forward to in the next 18 months. | haggismchaggis
16/7/2018 23:13 | I now wonder what the cost of the Nyuni 3D seismic will be? With this deal done it would make sense to replicate it with Nyuni, but we really need that 3D seismic to get the buyer (Zubair again?) to buy in and give us another free carry. | haggismchaggis
16/7/2018 23:10 | Yeah, I think he's really miffed that the share price is still so low with such a lot in the bag now. I'm sure he wants some ii's piling in, and has accepted the ARA deal to take the risk right off the table. Self funding with big future revenues is a huge draw for ii's. | haggismchaggis
16/7/2018 22:58 | haggis, yes, he also said this verbally. Not in the presentation but again a verbal comment was a strong desire for non-organic growth. A target market cap a multiple of the current one was mentioned. | haideralifool
16/7/2018 22:57 | Thanks HaiderAli for the presentation etc! :-) I see the slides show "downdip potential close to the Madimba gas facility" (which is closer to all the multi-TCF offshore gas discoveries!). Yet the 8 development wells are all up-dip of N2! I still believe this is because the oil has moved up-dip and Aminex are still chasing it. Chikumbi-1 will hopefully hit that oil, but they will have 3D seismic to help look for it if Chikumbi-1 only has gas. | haggismchaggis |
