18/3/2016 06:32 | hxxp://www.mhps.com/ "With demand for electric power surging, Tanzania is suffering from chronic power shortages due to a decline in hydroelectric power generation, its primary power source. The country has resorted to using power-generating facilities leased at relatively high rates to serve as emergency power sources, giving rise to fiscal difficulties and making electric power development an issue of great urgency. Enormous boobies. Large-scale domestic natural gas fields have been discovered in Tanzania, and Tanzania is hoping to use the gas to nearly double its 2012 electricity generating capacity by 2018, when the Kinyerezi power plant is expected to be completed. This power plant will feature high-efficiency gas power generation that will help alleviate Tanzania's power shortages and boost its economic development. This project will also be utilized to play a key role in improving Tanzania's basic infrastructure, as a part of the "Partnership for Quality Infrastructure" being promoted by the Japanese government utilizing funding, insurance and technology from Japan." | bunbooster2

17/3/2016 09:47 | Aminex CEO, Jay Bhattacherjee, commented: "The successful conclusion of the well integrity tests and installation of the wellhead control panel finalises the Company's preparations prior to the commissioning of the new Songo Songo Island processing facilities. Aminex looks forward to the commencement of gas production and revenues from Kiliwani North." not an insignificant bit of equipment. (Wellhead Control Panel) | blackgold00

16/3/2016 13:15 | Clunes100. Income from kn is mainly irrelevant as they cannot meet their commitments as they stand. Too many unknowns. The lack of communicated vision and plans from this BoD is disgraceful, it proves they actually do not know themselves imo | pj 1

16/3/2016 12:14 | That is still upwards of $150m at point of sale and that is for starters as they develop licences. | clunes100
16/3/2016 09:02 | Some absolutely silly figures being quoted on here. Steve Austin being one of them. We all wish AEX had 2.17TCF but they actually have about 1/20th of that according to their own figures. | ngms27

15/3/2016 21:03 | Peter, thank you for refreshing my memory and 20-30 scuffs is worth having on those terms. I hope that the share price perks up as AEX starts to ring the bacon home! | clunes100
15/3/2016 19:21 | We know the price which is not too bad, it is just a question of the number of scuffs. I can't remember the detail of the contract e.g. payment terms and whether it will be a guaranteed minimum take of gas - anyone recall? There will be a period of testing after which a commercial rate will be agreed for 12 months on a take or pay basis, with payment in advance. The contract also allows for overproduction, to be invoiced in arrears. Given the latter clause the agreed take may be on the conservative side, perhaps less than 20mmscfd. But overall I'd expect production to be in the 20-30 range. The rates will be reassessed and agreed annually. Peter | greyingsurfer
15/3/2016 16:45 | Yep, got that right - disappointing share price action today. | clunes100
15/3/2016 16:08 | Whilst living in a world of irrational optimism, AEX holders are on intimate terms with disappointment. | lfdkmp
15/3/2016 15:56 | Disappointingly low volumes and number of deals today, I had expected more in response to the news. | clunes100
15/3/2016 15:50 | thanks Vike, I liked their little summing up at the end. "Naturally, the current environment is particularly conducive to optimal deal-making. Weak international commodity prices very much make it a ‘buyer’s market’. Currently, possible partners are more likely to see distressed companies and assets as lower hanging fruit." "For this very reason, Kiliwani North and the promise of revenue generation remains a very significant milestone for Aminex" | blackgold00
15/3/2016 15:35 | Finding gas is one thing but a route to market has been a critical path for AEX and bar an unlikely hitch with commissioning the processing plant this has now been achieved. We know the price which is not too bad, it is just a question of the number of scuffs. I can't remember the detail of the contract e.g. payment terms and whether it will be a guaranteed minimum take of gas - anyone recall? | clunes100
