Yes, as somewhere I had seen or heard reference to a "Circular" that pretty much indicated an EGM.

And so far as work programme is concerned, the RNS says "The Company will announce an updated work programme once (the Bowleven transactions are) concluded"

However, how seriously we should treat such a programme is a different matter bearing in mind their current level of credibility.

Hi BG, ngms

Thanks for pointing out that quote, ngms is correct, and I was mistaken, an EGM would apparently be required.

However, I think the clue is in the phrase "The Bowleven Agreement will have an effective date of 1 January 2016"

The meaning of that is, I would assume, is that if/when the deal goes ahead it will be assumed to have completed on 1/1/16, regardless of when final completion occurred (before or after that date). I wouldn't interpret it as meaning everything has to be complete by that date.

Don't we need to be given at least 21 days written notice of an extraordinary general meeting? hmm, Christmas Day on Songo Songo Island, i'll ask the wife.

"The combined transaction is conditional upon, amongst other things, the execution of formal agreements with Bowleven and Solo, and Aminex shareholder approval. The Bowleven Agreement will have an effective date of 1 January 2016"

so if you are correct ngms re the EGM and the effective date is January 2016, we should be getting notice of the EGM date soon with details of the Agreement. and maybe even the (updated work programme) to accompany it.

"Aminex will remain the operator of all its assets in Tanzania following close of the transaction and is in discussions with Solo and Bowleven to accelerate the work programme at Ruvuma. The Company will announce an updated work programme once concluded"

Yes requires an EGM, I suspect this will be Christmas Day on Songo Songo Island

Does the AEX shareholder approval mean an EGM

I wouldn't think an EGM is needed for a farm out.

Does the AEX shareholder approval mean an EGM, if so, the time frame is very tight bearing in mind Christmas, with the Circular (and accompanying nasties no doubt) needing to be "imminent"

Dan, "Looks like my Q1 2016 prediction I made ages back is accurate, although I have since revised it to Q2 2016"

Dan, you are getting to sound more like ngms every day.

errr.... GSA no time soon then....

That answers your question on whether I think production is soon. Looks like my Q1 2016 prediction I made ages back is accurate, although I have since revised it to Q2 2016.

With regard to my recent link to the Ophir W Africa FLNG project, this, with a hat tip to hazydaisy on the BLVN board, appears to lend credence to this developing LNG format.

As back of the queue Tanzania's $30bn deep sea LNG dream recedes ever further into the ether, might FLNG provide opportunities for much smaller projects especially for the closer to shore gas? '"First, it’s much easier to find a buyer for only 1.2 mtpa than for a large-scale project, and second, the total cost of the project is much lower (though not necessarily on a per-unit basis)," Krasity told Interfax'

However, one requirement it would seem for FLNG is a prevailing benign sea state, something which might not pertain off Tanzania when recalling the enforced curtailment of the transition zone seismic a couple of years ago. (Would the shelter of a bay be sufficient?)

FLNG appears to be Golar's bag and this is their take on the Cameroon project:

Great find warbaby, I have tweeted that.

I like the fact that the President is the "Rhino" by nickname for getting things done. I love the fact that they are actually tackling issues like corruption. I hope the oil and gas bureaucrats are watching and learning.

@edgartwo2 if you are interested in twitter. (FWIW there is an amazing amount of information on twitter)

Recalling the new President's recent fulminations against the Tanesco crooks for manipulating hydro power levels along with what is beginning to seem suspiciously like a go slow at Kinyerezi and hopefully Tanesco will be next in line for this sort of treatment:

There is similar headline treatment in the Daily News

are you now beginning to get the feeling, that we are getting close to a signed GSA and the start up of KN production?

Ah, I know that feeling well - I've had it for the last 18 months!

What I do know for sure is that every day brings us one day closer :-)
