this can be 30p+ by friday coz when it moves it move fast

Someone is hoovermaning small-scale. Hope there is a slight return/retreat tomorrow. Imminent/a few days and shortly must be potentially close at hand and nearly within reach.

Hi, many thanks for that, i think its being kept down largely because the track record of AMER keeping to time on their promises is simply awful. The fact is though, that Giles Clarke does deliver, a fact the city well knows, and this is one heck of a project to deliver on. I cannot imagine many more difficult scenarios to work in than the Farc held, rain sodden and remote territory he chose years ago. Good luck to him.

Level 2 showing only 7k shares available at 25.25. Won't take much buying for this to move. This has still to catch up with other oil plays that have risen with oil price.

I appreciate the chart Marn and the sentiment but I am confused. Who, in their right mind is selling this company to keep the price so flat? There is clearly a massive upside with all kinds of positive news pending and even Rex and Co have to realise the moment they have long been waiting for is "imminent" despite the options debacle. Certainly I'm disappointed that progress has been slow but see every slow day as another chance to top up. What are we missing?

Hi squire,

AMER could well take off like a rocket when it breaks out of this fairly tight trading range.

We've traversed from the bottom of the descending channel to the top, encountering what is now the near coincident resistance at 25.00p. A two day break of 25.00p will confirm the double bottom.

Just overhead is the 50 day SMA (falling - blue line), which we touched today, and the 200 day SMA (just rising - red line). The more nervy might want to wait until we get above those before buying.

Never discount the possibility of a back-test of the channel/support, which may give a second bite of the cherry!

Daily indicators are a bit toppy.

Looking back through the charts, the one thing that stands out is how sharply the price moves upwards on good news. From 25-1-06 onwards there are many examples of how it has simply shot up on good news.

Mid price today same as placing for 35 million dollars in March.

I understand many will say to look at the increase in shares but even so when AMER moves up it goes like a rocket. Today i took out a long at 24.75 as i think its on the move gradually now until we get news.

There are some optimists about. Relieved to see above 25p albeit temporarily. News of oba delivering is what we want. Thurs is in three days and the only assurance I can give. Well it usually is.
