25/1/2018 22:50 | Re above howdlep's link on regulations, this is what YZJ's Chairman said, back in November hxxp://www.businesst taken from above article 'Analysts have noted the alignment between YZJ's targeting of acquisitions of clean-energy vessel technologies and its plans to build LNG vessels. This is timely, given that shipping companies seeking to comply with an imminent change in shipping regulations are looking at the option of using LNG, a cleaner-burning fossil fuel, for bunkering or refuelling. By 2020, the global sulphur cap mandating a 0.5 per cent limit on sulphur content in ship fuels will kick in. Mr Ren noted that more shipbuilding enquiries have come in since the International Maritime Organization said last October that the cap would be implemented. Shipping companies unwilling to commit capital expenditure to build LNG-fuelled ships are looking into installing exhaust-gas cleaning systems (called scrubbers) on their vessels to meet the sulphur cap requirement, but Mr Ren said that even with scrubbers, shipping companies may still commission newbuilds from scratch, because scrubbers take up a lot of deck space that can otherwise be used for cargo.' Will our offshore yard be involved in taking on LNG/Clean Energy Vessels & / or will we finally receive another Rig order now oil prices have recovered to make them viable to construct once again? | davethechef
25/1/2018 13:36 | I am expecting yard consolidation in due course, as ship owners race against time to comply with regulatory change. | howdlep
25/1/2018 13:35 | buyers coming back.... | howdlep
15/1/2018 10:04 | deep water sector showing encouraging signs:- | howdlep
12/1/2018 13:08 | I really wish the share price would get a move on. There is lots of potential and juicy talk of big stakes but the share price has been in dry dock for ages. Time for some announcements and some news please! | mach100
12/1/2018 12:47 | Agreed that's positive, and looks to gaining momentum; consolidation. YZJ is continuingly looking to add considerable value. For our offshore yard, I still believe there's a strong possibility we'll be involved in developing clean energy vessels/LNG; as has been mentioned by the Chairman of YZJ, back in August 2015(link below) hxxps://www.nextinsi As recent as last November YZJ highlights this market as one way to add value/diversify; as well as other opportunities, deals, as mentioned in this link hxxp://www.businesst This link below, from yesterday, suggests LNG's growth & interest hxxps://worldmaritim Should be an interesting year; hopefully, finally!!! | davethechef
10/1/2018 12:05 | Yep we continue to remain patient, ahead of news. Meanwhile, Yangzijiang establises a new subsidiary, as the sector continues to consolidate:- | howdlep
09/1/2018 15:09 | Well both iron ore & copper continue to do well; certainly copper has performed a great deal better than year ago. Both are expected to give healthy profits to those mining, dealing with those commodities so re our MGR Resources. Here's a recent link & graph on iron ore(although 2018 is expected to be volatile at times) hxxps://www.business News(inc rig)updates continues to be disappointingly slow to materialise, although I remain hopeful 2018 will excite. | davethechef
05/1/2018 07:44 | Good news for the rig market:- Trump moves to open nearly all U.S. offshore areas for drilling | howdlep
03/1/2018 13:26 | good luck all ! | knicol46
03/1/2018 11:00 | Agreed Philip it's the sitting. The hardest thing to do lol ! | oilbuy
03/1/2018 10:57 | Unfortunately, previous years updates have always surrounded progress with the build. Now that it is complete, we are simply waiting for the green light from the client. I emailed the CEO a number of weeks ago and whilst certain questions may have made me an insider, should I have received a reply, I can confirm no reply was received at all. Now it is possible to argue why that may be, However, it would be reasonable to suggest that negotiations are very confidential. So as someone with a large shareholding, I continue to wait for that RNS. Maybe it is time to quote Jesse Livermore, one of the great original trade operators:- “After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this: it never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It was always my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! “It is no trick at all to be right on the market,” he adds. “I’ve known many [traders] who were right at exactly the right time, and began buying or selling stocks when prices were at the very level that should show the greatest profit. And their experience invariably matched mine; that is, they made no real money out of it. [Traders] who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon. I found it one of the hardest things to learn. But it is only after a stock operator has firmly grasped this that he can make the big money.” | howdlep

03/1/2018 10:00 | Need rig sale. Patience going to make the money here ! | oilbuy
03/1/2018 09:21 | Agreed an encouraging recommendation fir YZJ. Would be nice to have an update though; it's been an age. Is there nothing they can update us on? Although I'm aware that 'piddly' news can be detrimental. | davethechef
02/1/2018 08:54 | Yangzijiang #Shipbuilding ranked among the best 148 of 1,480 large Industrials globally:- Ceratinly, an excellent JV partner for AMED to have. So will the rig market be a real growth area for Yangzijiang in the coming years? They must think so and it's why I am invested now. | howdlep
30/12/2017 22:31 | If the Iran unrest continues I wonder if Amed may be compelled to clarify any affects to production at the copper mine(unlikely affected) However, an opportunity to give us a long overdue trading update maybe!?! FFS!- the rig!!! | davethechef
22/12/2017 11:44 | buying resumed, limited volume each band | knicol46
19/12/2017 22:33 | Shares not in public hands raised last month to 80%.. hxxp://www.amedeores | knicol46
19/12/2017 22:22 | Well undervalue.. Net assets at last report: $17.7m (£13.2m). Shares in issue: low 33m (of which 66% not in public hands). NAV: around 40p (£13.2m/33m shares). Current SP: 12p. Explorer 1 Rig completed/tested awaiting customer payment. Even assuming a placing to finance a new deal whilst awaiting payment.. adds to the net asset value of AMED may be at a premium due to the low shares in issue and current undervalue (lowest placing price would be 10p anyhow) assuming a 50% dilution takes us up to only 50M shares in issue and the NAV would then be around 26.4p (£13.2m/50M) + the value of the cash/new deal raised If share price increased 100% it would still be well below the NAV lol | knicol46
19/12/2017 09:05 | more YZJ orders.. hxxp://splash247.com | knicol46 |
