Or perhaps they are just cheap, net cash, trading at 8 times, yielding the best part of 5.

So maybe I'm missing something but this one strikes me as pretty cheap so I've bought a nice little holding. I've kept some cash back to see how it goes though.

Yes, but pretty positive and a director buy today as well. Good to divest of the final non-core activity, albeit at a pretty poor price.

strange time to release an RNS yesterday at 16.50 although the trading update sounded positive.

You may need to factor in discontinued operations as well. Revenue in last year's accounts was £98m.

topvest - that apparent seasonality wasnt there last year. According to the recent interims:

H1 turnover: £45.2m
FY turnover: £90.2m

More or less 50/50

Its a seasonal business!

"With the group expected to benefit from its normal seasonal trading bias in favour of the second half of the financial year, the Board's previous expectations for the group's full year performance remain unchanged."

If you look at Stockopedia market expectations have gone up a few times in the year which all points to a strong year.

Not really looked into these before now. Can anyone help explain to me how they're realistically going to meet market forecasts of £97m turnover when they did £43.5m in H1? What might cause the c.25% half-on-half turnover growth? I saw the order book figures looked but still, they sharp growth for this sector which you need to believe

No first small buy. Great little company, shame about the pension deficit has always been my view here. Think the deficit is manageable but obviously takes the edge off the valuation.

Did you hold any before today topvest? Agree it looks good value, but I don't have a position.

Well I have added a few today. Good results are in prospect given the increasing analyst forecasts as we have gone through 15/16. Sell-off seemed a bit overdone to me and hoping this will run back to 200p in the short term. Strong QVM rating on Stockopedia albeit this doesn't fully reflect the pension deficit. For an improving high quality stock it is undoubtedly cheap. Its also done well to focus on its core business and sell its peripheral activities.

Wow this is a quiet board.

I came across these late last year. Like the emphasis on premium products and the financials and took a stake.

Recent interims show increasing confidence, with increasing profits and divi.

I have doubled up on them. Think they could be worth far more!
