I hope so. |
$2900???? I’d be surprised gold didn’t hit $3,500 sometime this year! |
The 20 year chart shows 2900 as the completion of a giant "flag" and from there the movement will be sideways for a while but the general trend is likely to be up...in my humble opinion. |
a year or two??? I’m of the opinion gold will only rise over the next 10/20 yrs!! and will outperform inflation!! |
The gold price rise really started in 2008, boosted by the mortgage backed securities crisis and money printing to bail out the banks.
Since then the rise was arrested for a while due to QE money printing which put the fractional reserve system on life support.
Since then we've come off QE but have not stopped increasing government debt, so inflation is the game, to inflate away our debts. Economies are still performing well, FTSE records, relatively low unemployment, relatively low interest rates, but government debt is off the chart, inflation is rising again as is unemployment, economies struggle for growth.
Gold looks to be a solid investment for a year or two longer... |
Gold $2,785.. |
Gold 2792 , also bought more today |
Bought a few more today. |
I will be surprised if it doesn’t hit £10 at some stage. I know directors believe much more to run |
Splitting the difference between PAT of £40M and £65M gives £1M per week, as from 1/1/25. Or ca4p pw per share in PAT. As long as the next RNS shows all going to plan. |
I've been tempted a few times to sell last few months as impatient but have held and kept buying a few more especially when it went down to oversold levels in October, Now I'd definitely not the time to sell as even if there are any delays the issues will either be sorted or complete and production will be running at levels expected as we approach RNS then re rate at least 4 times 12 months ago price . £4 minimum , fair value £7.50 . |
Yes, allowing for further caution to derive PAT of £40mn and p/e of 4 yields a share price of £5.85 with 27.333mn shares. AA was very bullish at the AGM about the embedded value of the company’s assets and cashflow potential. And that’s before the recent rise in the gold price. Also this calculation gives no credit for TS or new projects. |
mold breaker.....which would equate to a share price of £6.10.....that's why we all believe the share price is a buy down here ..... |
Based on a fwd P/E of 4 and conservative profits after tax for year end 2025 of £40mn would give m/cap of £160mn?!? |
As long as all goes to plan, the cashflow from Seki this year should be sensational. Total costs (everything) were about $30mn in H1. Assume 40% of costs are in KZT and 60% in $. Assume 50% cost inflation from 2024 H1 to 2025 to allow for higher production, taxes etc etc. And convert 2025 KZT costs into $ at current exchange rates. Total costs this year are then estimated at about $85mn. Revenues could be as much as $165mn, eg 60000*2750. So net margins nearly 50%. Profits after tax then £65mn, or nearly £2.40 per share. Very much back of the envelope, but assuming 50% cost inflation from 2024 H1 to 2025 is hardly optimistic. |
The chart suggests a quick step up to 350p and a continuation of the trend up is likely. |
Think we will be on the same sort of steep incline share price graph as srb very soon….if not better as we will be producing more gold pa. |
PAF pan African Resources and MTL also good all of these on stockpedia PAF has a dividend,MTL is def worth a punt . GLA share price held well today. Late delayed trade not sure if yesterday. |
Thor and its investors like to pretend that they have no debt. It’s not true, at 30/9/24 they had current liabilities of $97mn, net current liabilities of $41mn and total liabilities less current assets of $50mn. It’s just that their liabilities are not to banks, so they pretend it’s not “debt”. |
THX looks cheap, but no better value than ALTN? It is over 2 x market cap of ALTN and roughly double ALTN current (pre-plant upgrade) production level - ok they have no debt now in their favour.
Jurisdiction seems a bit riskier being in Nigeria? Relatively short current mine life compared to ALTN with decades worth of gold already at JORC.
Look at what happened with RSG in 'nearby' Mail having to cough up a $160m bribe to free some of their employees that were detained.. |
Soon when the results come in not long now hopefully at least mirror there last few months, Has anyone looked at Thor THX looks good prospect . |
SRB have seven bagged and ALTN only three. We need to catch up and more. |
The west tried to exploit the eastern states, take the BP case as a great example. |
