20/7/2023 14:23 | I never sell gold or silver, but do give some away as gifts....rainy day real money. They make great gifts too. At one stage it was easier to buy silver from Germany (Emporium) where they were rated 0% VAT, and where as VAT was already levied albeit at 0% the UK could not charge 20% VAT on it, or indeed any VAT as it had already been levied, whereas buying silver in UK required standard 20% VAT Obviously that's stopped now, but some nice Somali 1oz elephants in gold and silver made great gifts for grandchildren, and the gold 1oz Somali elephants in particular have doubled in price. More and more of the world problems are not what they seem....more and more its about reserve currency and the realisation of fiat money. That's why BRICS is such a threat, with the potential gold backed currency, and where when the West fell out with Saddam Hussein, it was when he deviated from the $ for oil, but suddenly the West saw him as a despot...the same despot they had backed at one stage. | ![]() pensionplanner
20/7/2023 09:55 | Seems like a good plan. Too many companies get too greedy, do nothing for the community...then pay the price | ![]() researchcentre123
19/7/2023 11:06 | Happier with the money ALTN spent on 'community projects' recently in light of what is going on at AAZ - perhaps shows it is more prudent to pay the 'tax' up front (so to speak) to keep locals/govt happy? | ![]() king suarez
19/7/2023 10:06 | Agreed, just bought a few more | ![]() gizmohican
19/7/2023 07:40 | If any buying volume re-appears for ALTN coupled with a good Q2 progress report, then there is every chance two-pound-a-share slingshot, all in in short pace. | ![]() golden prospect
18/7/2023 21:51 | Yep very strong fundamentals going forward from here imo | ![]() gizmohican
18/7/2023 17:48 | Our mkt cap is currently £30m, and we have £40m ($50m) of debt, but we produce £30m of operating profit pre debt repayments. In six months time we could be producing £50m operating profit, and started eating into our debt obligation. In 3 years time we will have paid off half of our debt, and could be producing £60m pa operating profit. Obviously the price of gold has an impact, as does our ability to develop without disasters, and we need to keep one eye on the NATO war against Putin. | ![]() excellance
18/7/2023 17:39 | The company have stated that they intend to pay a sustainable dividend, and it is that which will bring in investors as we see capital growth and dividend yield, but only when we can see debt as easily manageable. We can only stab a guess at what a reasonable dividend may be in 3 or 4 years, and from that extrapolate an share price determined by the competitiveness of that yield compared to other asset classes, like bond offering 6% | ![]() excellance
18/7/2023 16:35 | There is no herd, the herd has left the market for better returns in cash and money market funds. Unfortunately macro economic data suggests the markets will offer poor returns for the next few years. | ![]() trader465
18/7/2023 16:22 | Once we clear the brow of the hill, get clear visibility of progress showing that production is increasing and our debt is manageable, then we'll see a significant rerate. That time is close, but it's not here yet, so for now it's speculators and chancers (like me) who are happy to take the risk and the chance to multi bag, who will take a punt, while the herd will only follow once the share price is supercharged and much higher than today. | ![]() excellance
18/7/2023 16:09 | Gold on a charge; there is never any stock available in size for ALTN On this basis a sharp re-rate is expected (fell on very low volume) Q2 news beckon | ![]() golden prospect
18/7/2023 11:49 | Very quiet here.............. | ![]() chrisdgb
15/7/2023 09:24 | The silver market is quite strong at the moment, demand for silver in solar panels appears to be the driver. ALTN produce does actually contain silver credits tho only a nominal amount and so small it is not usually reported. Silver prices have doubled, and could double again to near $50 per ounce and if so I wonder if this would give ALTN opportunity to recalibrate and open up new zones to mine? | ![]() excellance
13/7/2023 19:48 | I wonder if Russia had invaded Kazakhstan, would the west be so aggressive in their defense? Of course NATO haven't expanded into Kazakhstan yet, and the children of US DNC party leaders haven't been given directorships of Kazakhstan companies, so I doubt Russia would invade nor would NATO be bothered if they did. Obviously the war puts a shadow over the entire region, and investors looking to buy into it. Gold prices are still robust, could very possibly rise significantly for many reasons, not least the BRICS plan for a gold backed currency. On site development should be making strides, tho quarterly production reports are "lagging" indicators but the 66kt production number for April gives us a glimpse of the potential for Q2, tho we need to match that in processing capacity. Not long to wait, could be just three weeks! Could we break 10k Oz I wonder? Will grades be back over 2g? Exciting times ahead! | ![]() excellance
11/7/2023 16:52 | The market is asleep to most equities, but alive to the risk associated with equities going into recession with inflation, rising interest rates, war in Europe, and elections in the next year in the UK and USA. The world could be a very different place in 18 months time. Can we at least rely on ALTN to deliver on promises? | ![]() excellance
11/7/2023 16:07 | Market seems to be asleep for ALTYN One of the lowest cost gold producers around, funded (not by dilution) for growth Will be throwing off enormous cash in due course Q2 results due | ![]() golden prospect
10/7/2023 16:38 | Hate is a strong word, particularly when used by someone allegedly in a position of power. Biden stated that it took him some time to be convinced about the use of cluster bombs, tho he didn't say who it was trying to convince him. I think it is widely believed that Ukraine is blackmailing Biden, with intel on him and/or Hunter. Blackmail has always been a thing, just look at Clinton, Monica Lewinsky, and that mucky dress she kept for years holding it over Clinton's head like the sword of Damocles. Then of course there's the Epstein affair and the child trafficking rumours. Gold hypothecation is a messy business, sitting there in a vault with multiple owners with contracts for different time periods. Not sure how that can work if the gold backs currencies here and now. I see the gold move by BRICS to be read as a declaration of war by the USA and UK who have no gold due to the current ideology in that echo chamber in the corridors of power. | ![]() excellance
10/7/2023 15:33 | excellence. It has now been confirmed that BRICS are intending to have a gold backed currency which will really put the cat amongst the pigeons, and will no doubt have a great impact on fiat currencies and on the gold price, as the gold backed currency has to be convertible directly to physical gold. The USA and others may have a problem with that, as their stated quantities of owned gold do not stack up to proper audits, hence the reluctance of some companies to allow repatriation of other nations gold. If the BRICS situation comes to fruition, and no reason to suggest it won't, then Fiat will come under increasing pressure or will have to be gold backed also. No doubt the West will then push for a digital currency, or anything to continue unabated issuance of more and more fiat. As for US providing cluster bombs....bloody disgraceful. Biden is clearly ill to even contemplate their use. its no good the USA condemning cluster bombs one minute, then supplying them the next! Even the UK doesn't agree with them. As for the Special Relationship, it was so special that Biden on an open mike stated he hated the UK! It was so special he blocked Ben Wallance heading up NATO. | ![]() pensionplanner
07/7/2023 22:36 | Russia confirmed today that BRICS will launch a new gold backed currency in August. Dollar could be in trouble. | ![]() sawman2
