Took some of these last week in anticipation of the results, they should be stunning, now we have a spike in gold prices, tick tock to a significant share price uplift.

I rode the wave last year and profited nicely.

Last time gold was at current levels in May last year ALTN shares hit £1.73p, since then production has increased.

This has to re-rate, the market cap is $42m and gross profit will come in around $30m !!

No wonder the broker targets £4 a share

"From one of the worst to best-performing assets? Gold price to tackle $2,100 by year-end, says Wells Fargo". ....that would be good!

All we need is WW3 to start and gold will fly!

Biden is doing his best to fool everyone into thinking WW3 is about to happen...ahead of the mid term elections.

At this rate, the re-rate will be down to increased cash in the bank!

Thanks GS.

The re-rate, when it happens, will be quite spectacular imho.

So the next event will be full year results.

Their full year revenue will be $50m

They made a gross profit of $14m on H1 revenue of $23m

So it looks like they will make a gross profit of $30m in FY 2021 - net profit circa $23m

Current m/cap is $42m

Totally crazy valuation, but there we are.

All commodities are flying today in dollar terms, due to higher CPI number at 7 5% and the fed is way behind the curve and struggling to catch up.

Maybe the problem is that the dollar is weakening, and we get paid in dollars...

Very disappointing gold on the move $1840 the company's profits for the year are going to be higher thank its valuation madness

Well it's pricing all on tiny volume. Hopefully over the next 12 months there will be more good news continuing and then some significant uplift. The forward pe has to be close to 1 or 2 at most....if it just applies current pe it'll double.

People are very despondent on this board.Uk investors do not seem to want gold stocks at the moment.Of course massive improvement has taken place here and not been rewarded by a uplift in valuation but if progress continues to be made sooner or later the share price will respond. At times like these we have to be patient as sometimes the darkest days are before the dawn. As always GLA and i hope i amm right and the market wrong

Manipulation continues this morning, who in their right mind wakes up and thinks 'gee I must sell 588 ALTN shares' 28 seconds after market opens, its truly ridiculous.

No way is that a retail shareholder desperate to dump, it is just more manipulation as discussed infinitum on this BB, I still believe we will see minorities bought out for a modest premium (£1.50p-£1.75p) but nothing like true value.

It happened at Trans Siberian Gold in March last year, a broker note had been commissioned some 3 months earlier with a target price circa £2, but then some 'operational difficulties' occurred - the offer from the majority shareholder was at a miserable 18% premium (£1.18p) to the then well depressed (and seemingly manipulated share price)

I do not believe such a blatantly low MBO will occur here but I still think it will happen.

It's a liquidity problem. With only 7m shares free float and the remaining held by 65.5% majority holder no institution will get involved.
Large retail / professional investors have so many cheap gold companies to invest in it is difficult for any one company to really stand out.
Yes this is one of the cheapest, that is the positive, but jurisdiction and having a majority holder is a negative.
When the sector turns they will all run, and then valuation will be the driver and ALTN will be a major winner... just need unbelievable patience.
With all the good news the stock is out performing when compared with the GDXJ. A good sign. I'm holding tight. DYOR

There's lots of shares where we wonder when holders will get rewarded with value appreciation or dividend. These days it seems even good news is met with forward selling of cheap placings. Look at how the CHAR share price performed after their company making gas discovery, The problem is that the finance houses appear to be colluding with each other and not competing against each other.

Well gold is up $20 yet again, continued talk from experts about how it is going to $2000oz but they never seem to take account of the obvious and admitted manipulation of the metal by central banks.

As for ALTN I am beginning to get worn down by the continued underperformance of the share price, it also seems manipulated as pointed out many times by others.

One has to question Renn Cap as broker, their targets are simply targets, if they really believe ALTN is worth £4 a share then why are their clients not piling into the stock.

If one looks back there was more volume before the share consolidation, when this was a penny stock it attracted traders but these traders have left the scene now it is a £ stock.

With no prospect of a dividend and no capital appreciation what is the point of holding these shares ?

The CEO said there would be a Q&A session after every quarter update but nothing has been announced so why not? Maybe he has wind some of the questions from shareholders might be challenging.

Well it has been cheap but it's so small it's off the radar for many funds. It does look like they've made some effort to get the share price to fair value, like bringing in renaissance. The company is getting turned around nicely - lower mining costs per ton, higher production, shld be very high profitability in next report which shld give it some attention when funds pick up the news Everything to me points to the Azabayevs wanting to push up the share price. At the moment there's hardly any volume so wldnt take much to push it up.

But is it encouraging? Or is it a result of crocodile tears about the sp?

We know Altyn is incredibly cheap by comparison with others, but its been like that for some time, with reports and targets illustrating how cheap it is.

But it made no real difference, and I still have to wonder whether this is crocodile tears in advance of taking it private with the excuse 'it's so undervalued'
