With silver up another 7% and gold inching near to a new all time high in USD and ALTN about to announce Q2 production numbers which should prove the growth trend, we should benefit simply by sitting still and being patient.

Think there's just been a lot of liquidity in AIM shares past few days and people can see better short term opportunities due to the huge spread. Once more news flow emerges and price reversed to the upside would hope to see spread come down. Similar happened at TILS recently, spread was same size 20% at 45p now around 3% at 170p. If the company continue Q2 like they did Q1 then I have no reason to worry for the mid term what with metals going upwards. GLA ride the blip out.

Volume hasn't dropped really, only a couple of days. I have the feeling that the free float may be rapidly decreasing at these levels, with gold rocketing surely people must see the value?

Yes, I noticed that as well. The obvious effects are to paint a technical picture (although I am struggling to see what based on the chart other than potentially being perceived as a support break) and to make it appear that the price is going up tomorrow. I suppose the latter could be used to attract momentum buyers to allow someone to sell out but I am clutching at straws. Perhaps just an attempt to increase volume since it has died.

For 2 days running now the final UT trade has been for 2 shares at 1.81p.

So someone is deliberately manipulating the closing price to be lower than the MM mid price.

To what end?

Also 1.5 million trade put through after close time but delayed by the full trading day.

i don't know, very disappointing at the moment, way under valued yet going in the wrong direction at least for the last in June and July, and we know that the numbers due out in a couple of weeks should support a much higher share price.

ho hum, i suppose i'll just have to be patient, or even add another couple of million shares if i can find something to sell.

It looks like mostly sells today and yet the price is up. Maybe some late trades will show up.

It’s rising excellence but I wouldn’t say it’s exactly going vertical, gold is only up about $20 ! Good rise for silver though

For oversight of their operations companies would have weekly if not daily statistics of their operations that management use to monitor progress and trouble shoot if they are falling behind plan. It's not a stretch to release this in summary form to shareholders.

In this new improved communication era the company has initiated, production data release should be top of the list and ahead of all but financial reporting that's required twice a year.

I thought much the same, the question is one I posted to them, although obviously others may have also asked the same. My positive thought on the response was that they are now going to post regular quarterly updates going forward. My negative thought was that they consider the previously given updates and guidance over the last few years to be fit for purpose and that we may only receive updates as and when they see fit, where this may not be at regular scheduled intervals ie. Quarterlies may not be published if they do not believe they are required. We shall have to wait and see!

The reply to the ALTN AGM direct question about regular quarterly updates was rather oblique but it seems more likely than not that this will be provided. If so, they should adopt the system of other PM miners which is by month end following the quarter end.
That would likely result in a Q2/H1 production report either this week or next.

A–The Company has been giving regular updates on production and other matters and so will continue to disseminate important information on a timely basis.
