13/9/2019 11:57 | I was hoping to grab some more sub 0.7p. Not sure I will get the chance now. | brasso3
13/9/2019 10:31 | I understand that this is comparing apples and pears but just for fun it is worth noting that at the end of 2007, as Hambledon, whilst mining the (nearly exhausted) open pit and with a gold price of roughly $800, the share price hit 20p+. Nor had TS been added to the equation. | sandeels
13/9/2019 09:54 | Brasso3, I think that the emphasis on the cash is just to allay the usual fears on AIM about an imminent placing due to lack of available funds. ALTN have gone out of their way to avoid dilution (to the detriment of the company in my opinion but that is history) but it is ever on the minds of AIM investors. | jc2706
13/9/2019 09:52 | I have followed GGP for many years. It was an absolute dog for most of those (well, what do you expect with Andrew Bell as Chairman?) but then was effectively taken over by MTR and an associated group of investors. The share price was well supported at this point by buying from this group and the price went to a ridiculous overvaluation (if you understand the tactics of this group it will be clear as to how this occurred). It has to be said that Gervaise Heddle has actually done a pretty good job there and carved out a company from what was effectively a bunch of poor assets by leveraging the high share price to get away fund raisings and buying plots in areas that are the current vogue exploration targets (Pilbara region). They have struck very good intercepts but very deep so it will be interesting to see whether these can be made to work economically in Australia. There is potential in GGP now but the share price reflects a lot of this currently and I suspect that ALTN has more gold now at its assets than GGP will ever have if Teren-Sai comes through as hoped. | jc2706
13/9/2019 09:49 | researchanalyst You cannot consider the $17m loan as cash (an asset) as it is debt (a liability). If you take that approach systematically when attributing value to a company you will lose a lot of money on AIM. | brasso3
13/9/2019 09:38 | He's adding the loan to the cash balance? - obviously it is not 'net cash' since it's debt also. | king suarez
13/9/2019 09:28 | Where have you found the £14m cash! | brasso3
13/9/2019 09:08 | Sorry reearchanalyst1 but that is a misrepresentation of the facts. The 2.26m oz you quote is not a resource estimate for Sekisovskoye, it is the reserve. The resources amount to approx. 5m and if I recall correctly there is even an additional 3m oz exploration target. | jc2706
13/9/2019 02:17 | The altn market seems more orderly now, but some profit has been taken. A few days of weakness maybe, but we all know where this is heading... | excellance
12/9/2019 22:42 | Strange price movements today in ALTN given the delayed trade reported. I have to suspect that there is a bigger sell in the background to justify the drop. I have been doing a few quick calculations and conservatively I would be disappointed if H2 didn't come in above 9k oz gold with a potential for 11k oz or even slightly more. H1 2020 should be aiming for 14k+ oz if the recoveries can improve to the 83% level along with slightly increased grade and a constant 40k tonnes ore per month. And that is without factoring in more fundamental improvements brought about by the loan. | jc2706
12/9/2019 20:56 | I meant gold market today | next time lucky 19
12/9/2019 20:54 | It should always be remembered before a final report there is always a draft. Thus the bank may well have seen the draft. Hence the better terms for the loan and the market experts forecasting gold to increase. Interesting that market makers MUST have sold a huge amount of contracts to turn the price in a few hours... | next time lucky 19
12/9/2019 20:40 | P.s. market certainly seems to be missing a trick on this one! | oxs
12/9/2019 20:39 | We’ve been testing the terin Sao concession for the last 12 months and it’s getting put into a cpr - there could, hopefully, market gods permitting be a very juicy brucy bonus included in it.... Gotta wonder why the bank was prepared to give a loss making company valued at 19m a UNSECURED loan for 17m Should find out next week or so. | oxs
12/9/2019 19:22 | Yes, I remember thinking that was a dubious transaction for an awful lot of money at the time..... at Kara/T-S they either they got a bargain OR they got taken for a ride - hopefully the CPR will say the former! | tightfist
12/9/2019 18:34 | "Exploration drilling and testing by Hydrogeology, which has been reviewed by Hambledon's technical team, indicates estimated resources of approximately nine million ounces of gold and in excess of sixteen million ounces of silver". Lets hope so......they paid $27.5m just for the data on the site in 2013. | stockknobjockeyvanbookstino
12/9/2019 18:08 | Rouge - Cheers, fingers crossed the cpr has a surprise for even those who have been here a while. | oxs
12/9/2019 16:33 | Days like the last couple make me question the investment understanding of AIM investors. | jc2706
12/9/2019 16:22 | 100k pa is the target to be achieved over next 3 years, where I’m assuming this to be confirmed or otherwise on publication of the new CPR. | roguetreader
12/9/2019 15:51 | Targeting 20k oz 2020 as far as I can see yet a poster abover referrs to 100k oz with the 20m funding ??? Can anyone give some clarity on this? | oxs
12/9/2019 10:02 | A useless one JC | bmnsa
12/9/2019 09:12 | I am sure that RMM must have a discussion board. | jc2706 |
