09/3/2022 13:01 | Alstom SA said Wednesday that it has won a contract for a train-control system in Italy worth 124 million euros ($135.1 million). The contract from Italian rail group Rete Ferroviaria Italiana is for the design and implementation of the European Rail Transport Management System in four Italian regions, the French train maker said. Alstom won the tender together with a temporary grouping of companies, it said. The award is the first of a number of tenders in Italy financed by the country's pandemic recovery funds for the construction of ERTMS on 700 kilometers of railway worth around EUR500 million, Paris-based Alstom said. Alstom plans to reassess the capital investment's book value as part of its closing accounts for 2021 to 2022. Discussions for the French rolling stock manufacturer's potential partnership project with Ukrainian rail operator UZ have also been suspended due to the current circumstances. Alstom traded 5% in the green on Tuesday's close. | grupo guitarlumber

23/2/2022 15:44 | No, a Cash investigation into Alstom has not been "deprogrammed" Emilie BERAUD, AFP France Tue, 22 February 2022, 5:20 PMĀ·4 min read Several Internet users claim that a Cash Investigation program on Alstom was "deprogrammed" in order not to harm Emmanuel Macron, Minister of the Economy during the sale of the Belfort site to the American General Electric in 2015. However, this claim is false: it is based on a humorous tweet and truncated remarks by a France 2 official. The channel also assured AFP that no investigation into this case had been deprogrammed or even carried out. Has an investigation devoted to the "Alstom affair" and risking harming the Head of State been deprogrammed by France 2? | ariane
