13/7/2018 13:48 | That's fine Stephen, and I won't pursue it further. And no, there's nothing wrong with capitalism, imho, so long as it doesn't consume itself, as it tends to do periodically when regulations are left unchecked, or greed is left unchallenged. And nothing wrong with ALT getting to £4! | brucie5
13/7/2018 13:33 | I said i like Trump and will be pleased my company will be doing business in the country where he is President, or words to that effect. All of the tooth fairies marching today are in cloud cuckoo land, just what effect will they have? Go march in Syria, iran or Afghanistan, Africa, Morocco or Turkey. Meantime wonder if the numbers are now alluding to a £4 share price? or am i being a capitalist wishing to make money whilst others have none, i am suitably ashamed of my self and will spend the days flaying my back with razor blades if we get above £4 and i become a millionaire. I still like Trump. | stephen1946
13/7/2018 13:16 | Sorry when did this become the politics board | john09
13/7/2018 13:15 | Brucie - I would not bother as our Stephen is a rather special case. | kemche
13/7/2018 12:49 | Brucie5, but you would be the first to allow everybody to have their own opinion without resorting to childish stunts and angry marches that generally result in thuggery. You make allegations that are totally unfounded in relation to migration to name just one of your issues. Trump won a vote, end of. | stephen1946
13/7/2018 12:23 | Great post Brucie. I would give that 10 recs if I could! | allstar4eva
13/7/2018 12:20 | I'm all in favour of people being honest. Unfortunately, saying what you think does not make you more informed about the more complex issues that make up the world, particularly if you aspire to lead it. And with his propensity for lies, the only two ways that he could be 'saying what he thinks' is if a. he has extremely selective memory, or b. is pathological liar. Neither of which is a great qualification for being President. The other canard about Donald 'not being a politician', is the idea that there is an inherent brilliance and integrity about anyone who 'makes' it in the business world, in contrast to the inherent uselessness of those who have careers in public service, including politicans. Trump has made his billions from casinos and upmarket real estate, while managing to cut himself off from numerous failed ventures, like Trump university, with creditors being ruined and clients being stiffed. Farage uses this similar claim ad nauseam, on account of making a packet as a metals dealer. I fail to see how this makes him a better or worse as a person, but see very little relevance to what insight he may or may not have as a commentator on the EU. What he also omits to say, is how well he's done from being an MEP from the very organisation that he vilifies: and refuses of course to forego his 72k pension from the EU. What Trump and Farage have in common is that they are both beneficiaries of capital, and seek a world where capital will be freer to increase itself, mainly in the hands of fewer and fewer people, while labour becomes unencumbered by rights, such as organisations like the eu are partly designed to safeguard. But they also know that by throwing a few sops to the populist vote, such as Trump's tariffs, and Farage's 'bringing back control', they can get poorer people to vote against their own interests. As we shall no doubt shortly see, as industries and services move off shore, making the whole cake smaller for everyone else. | brucie5

11/7/2018 10:54 | Looks like Tump's fixation with a trade war with China is spooking global markets - hardly surprising. | northwards
11/7/2018 08:56 | The board should remember the post 432 and the reply 433. Should be worth repeating at sometime in the future. | stephen1946
10/7/2018 23:52 | You do understand the business model don't you? They sell software. Aside from the small UK promo purchase to help them in the UK space, the US business is all about getting in with the big distributors. They will have £6m profit next year which they can spend as they like. What aquisition do you think the business needs in order to implement their plan? | sheep_herder
10/7/2018 19:31 | Sheep simple in reply to your question Funds always needed for potential acquisitions ... | robbnw
