You have to ask yourself that could the lack of auditor be a ploy for ALGW to deliberately lose their UK Listing ? It's a US company, their markets have been considerably better than the UK's for some considerable time. Going no longer needs the UK listing . So this could be a very convenient way of delisting the stock and walking away unscathed. |

Glad it's not just me that has noticed this, perhaps the management should take notice, it's appalling, ADVFN should clamp down on this kind of behaviour, the company haven't actually done anything wrong yet other than build a business and lack decent pr, however that's actually not that uncommon on aim. |

ALGW will struggle getting new auditors in my opinion.
First as a main market company they have a restricted list of auditors they can use called the PIE auditor register.
Second the Big 4 and a few others will think company is too small.
Third outside of the Big 4 there are only a few firms which are competent in dealing with IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts, one of which is PKF Lirtlejohn which said ALGW had done a proper analysis before concluding that its effect on principal life insurance subsidiary was not material.
Let’s see if they can find someone in time for new audited accounts deadline. |
