"The H1'18 trading update highlights further strong market share gains for AFX with revenues up c50%. We have increased our revenue forecasts and maintain our profit estimates reflecting a number of investments which will position the company to scale significantly over the next few years."

The reality is you only really need to look out 2-3 years and extrapolate forward earnings growth (bake in gradual margin expansion post this year as they lever the headcount IMO), and a maintaining of the current multiple and you can see where share price upside is going to come from.

Liberum were forecasting 17mm FY sales which they've now increased by 16% to 19.7mm. They're kept PBT forecasts the same due to the increased investment mainly into new hires for the corporate and institutional divisions and maintained their price target of 630p.

I expect revenues will be anything between 20.5 -21.5m for the year - significantly above current market expectations. Compared to 13.5m for FY 17 -that's good enough for me.

I m a bit disappointed with those results tbh. I was expecting c 21 to 22m FY revenues so unless H2 picks up a lot, cant see it happening.

Revenues well ahead. 9.6m in H1. FY expectations of 17-17.5

Front loaded investment to drive growth through the mid term. Need to look beyond the text John. Clear as day that this biz is growing substantially faster than Liberum's forecast for this year IMO

Let's see how this closes today. Think Liberum's update should push this through the day

50% revenue growth against a base period of 90% last year. 2nd half comp is much easier so reckon the estimates for mid twenties revenue growth this year will be smashed and board expectations > market expectations.

Tempted to add quite a few myself but this is still speculative and markets been harsh on any signs of trouble in trading statements these days, so still on the fence! Have a small-ish position already.

Not a lot. Look at the volumes, look at the price chart. Come back when trading update is released and chill in the meanwhile
