12/1/2021 08:53 | i thought it read positively -even with a slightly ahead being used and yet the share price reaction is negative with the spread so wide it's offputting! | ali47fish
12/1/2021 07:14 | Trading update released. | carsonblocked
08/1/2021 17:24 | 10:05am - £201,880 @ 1400p - that explains our lovely price move today. Nice end to the week. Beers all round boys & girls. 1600p is the target. | carsonblocked
08/1/2021 11:14 | Looking good | longshanks
04/12/2020 09:43 | As a result of the strong performance, full year earnings are now expected to be ahead of expectations – previous expectations were for Eps of 35.18p. The year end dividend is also being re-instated. More on the Investor's Champion website. | energeticbacker
03/12/2020 07:50 | @ihatemms hats off to you Sir, for being courteous to a new market participant in @JasonWilez and answering their question. | carsonblocked
03/12/2020 07:49 | Trading update today following from the one in October. Increased cross selling. Updated to now be AHEAD of expectations and Dividend Reinstated. Plus a Trading Update to follow in January. | carsonblocked
30/11/2020 20:44 | What does an uncrossing trade mean? At the closing of the auction the bids/offers are frozen and an attempt is made to match as many shares to be sold against shares to be bought - the result of this is what is known as the 'Uncrossing Trade' (UT). In this case I believe there’s heavy demand for the shares as the UT price of £12.35 is well above the spread prior to close. | ihatemms
30/11/2020 19:09 | @ihatemms please could you explain what an 'uncrossing trade' is and the significance of a large one @ £12.35 - thanks in advance. I'm still learning. | jasonwilez
30/11/2020 16:53 | Massive uncrossing trade @ £12.35! | ihatemms
11/11/2020 11:22 | interview with Morgan Tillbrook (CEO) dated 29 Sep 2020 for those who are interested. Thanks | carsonblocked
11/11/2020 10:46 | Some nice big trades going through bidding it up. £550k of buys across 8 trades. Big boys may be being unshackled now a vaccine is on the cards... | carsonblocked
02/10/2020 08:34 | While the earnings rating looks rich AFX has a considerable growth opportunity. Investor's Champion was previously a little wary of the significant founder sell-down earlier in the month, but this was on the expiry of an unusually long 3 year lock-in and founders do still hold more than 35% of the equity. | energeticbacker
02/10/2020 04:18 | Carson, there is form and content. I have not invested in this company and am poorer for it currently. Now did you see what I did there? | konradpuss
01/10/2020 20:57 | @Konny what's AFX's office being nominated for an award got to do with the price of fish? and @Cfro, why are you so salty? Do you want some chips with your salt? Did you miss the boat, and now to make you feel better you come up with random posts you think is going to tank the share price? Cfro "Looks like the mugs are Liontrust", so are you smarter than those lot, wise sage? Cfro "Directors selling in droves", yes because shareholder concentration is so tight, and not enough free float the institutions wanted to buy yards from them to make it worth their while? Cfro "Results only 'inline' with FY19, to me that is going backwards" - In a pandemic where some companies will have negative growth for years, and won't reach FY19 levels for years to come, yet Alpha anticipate to do it this year, and you think that's going 'backwards', what world are you living in? Reveal your positions to see which of those are ahead of FY19, wise sage. | carsonblocked
01/10/2020 20:35 | I note in the last report and accounts their new H.Q. has been put forward for a prestigious design award. Make of this as you will. | konradpuss
01/10/2020 12:28 | Certainly hasn't been a dreadful year for the directors here, far from it, they've made out like bandits. :) | cfro
01/10/2020 10:01 | Cfro - you left out the words "at least" in your chosen quote. (I think we all understand why ;-) This is a dreadful year for thousands of companies - many of whom will fall well short of previous expectations and would love to be able to declare inline prospects. | grabster
01/10/2020 07:19 | As a result, despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the Board is increasing its expectations for full year earnings, and taking into account provision for bad debts is confident that earnings will be at least in line with FY 2019. So results only "inline" with FY19, to me that is going backwards and certainly doesnt warrant the high rating the shares command. Its as good as a warning but these days management like to dress up statements to make them sound better than they really are. | cfro
01/10/2020 06:59 | Unless Cfro meant a warning that profits might rise ;-) | grabster
01/10/2020 06:52 | Cfro -doesn’t look like a profit warning to me 😀. | ihatemms
01/10/2020 06:02 | Sounding positive. | matt123d
30/9/2020 10:59 | I think they are way over-valued - but Soros doesn't seem to agree and who am I to disagree with him!? 1200, 1300 or 1400 short entry points? | toffeeman
30/9/2020 07:17 | In the meantime someone is bidding for stock in size. | matt123d |
