good points and sometimes hard to figure out. ATT has quite a nice looking chart and hoping it can close close to 257 unless nasdaq falters before the close .

NAV discount also moves around a bit, sometimes the shares are more in demand for
a variety of reasons and discount to NAV closes.

I would guess slowing macro is causing a tech 'safety' trade
with much of the sector seen as less cyclical. But who knows, etc.

I know that but it is a firmer cable today sport and we are talking about today's share price movement . anyway , moving higher now - go baby go ! :)

Cable weakness also NAV accretive. GBP strength had been weighing on NAV.

maybe but ATT's NAV went up more in % terms than nasdaq 100 did and nasdaq presumably includes Nvidia . So I doubt that is the reason . Hoping ATT will move a bit higher later today and I can close out :)

big boost in NAV up to 292 announced today being figure up to US close yesterday . I bought at 251.17 earlier and disappointed it is not now trading at about 255 ( wry smile ) . Hope nasdaq powers on at 2.30pm when US physical market opens . I guess a firmer cable has held ATT back today

Looks like the NVDA results are giving the tech space a boost today.

but PCT has performed better today and I bought ATT :) . Made a very modest profit though buying and selling using RSP quotes . I would not be surprised if nasdaq index takes off after UK close ( wry smile ) .

Thanks for the feedback.EI as you say ATT has about 10% more in US stocks, it also has about 10% more in the Tech sector than PCT.Although the discount to NAV at PCT is slightly better (about 1%) their historic performance isn't as good as ATT.

ATT is approx 85% US listed stocks.

PCT, never looked at in any detail or held, so unable
to give a view on their relative merits.

ATT is a pure play on the nasdaq indices in USA whereas PCT portfolio is in a number of countries I believe .

Hi EIAm thinking of accompanying my Fidelity Global Tech fund with an investment trust but is it ATT or PCT? funny market ! I closed out at 244.6 at a modest profit in my day trade ,. Then nasdaq index fell and ATT goes up which is unusual but markets not always logical :) . Could have doubled my profit :)

with nasdaq up a bit more since UK close, PCT and ATT could benefit again today although it is a FRIDAY .

if cable had not continued to strengthen even with a firm $US , you might have got that 227.5 today sport . Nasdaq 100 now over 13200 again and I sometimes wonder whether it might be better to trade the index instead of ATT but it is so volatile and might take a hiding :)

good point on strong GBP lately Essential . Yes , 227 was slightly optimistic I suppose as ATT moves like a snail but often good to trade as can almost always get between the spread with a RSP quote on CFD buy . Nasdaq could take off again after 2.30 pm although it is a FRIDAY :)
