I'm quite happy with the merger, ALW won't set the market on fire, which suits me fine. If the price holds steady over this financial quarter, the Trust may well soon be promoted to the FOOTSIE 100, as you know that potential event will mean FOOTSIE 100 trackers & ETF's etc having to invest in the Trust, which should provide more support for the share price. Not certain about the facts/data, but my feeling is that Witan & Alliance have been quite popular over the years with private investors. The fact that institutional investors may join the party in a much bigger way might just be a game changer. d. |
