Tebbin... Did you hope for cat bonce on TRP, I think it will soon recover and was ramped up a bit too much in my view, then all the experienced traders stared bailing out before the RNS, how they new the drill results were on its way beats me, mm's information looked the case.

The one today was, that chinese solar company, didn't get in myself never new enough on the company situation, grossly marked down, it would be interesting how that pans out.

I was a bit late rising this morning, so didn't have the time

Jab118 - Yes it was TRP which seems to be steadying. Must confess I was hoping to be out by now. Have to wait a little longer the cat never bounces when you want it to. Just sold 75% of my holding in RIFT which was quite a pleasant experience. Incidently Nigel Wray cleaned up there as he was a Major S/H hope for the same result here.

tebbin ... good day... give us a clue what sector, as I have 40 stocks open at the moment.:@)

emahal.. see you have an interest in the Tower, if you get my drift.. bought in last week just abit to soon, still it was worth the risk at 4.1, as it was a smallish punt now hoping to average down soon :@)

3mahal - It does seem to go into quite periods, but I was informed that many P/I s do routinely look in. Nevertheless as a company it has a solid base for moving on and up, and there have been rumours in the past of a suitor.

This thread is so quiet and it needs to liven up.Pharmaceutical cos. should be
much in favour for investors being defensive stocks .

Jab118 - Another small rise today they certainly add up nicely over a couple of weeks.
I suppose I have an inquisitive nature and that generally can find me any data I need. I am sure you are much the same.
Yes more POV's on the thread would be welcome, but I have a distaste for one line derampers, but maybe if their posts are interesting I can live with it.
Off topic I saw a buying opportunity today, and jumped in but only to find afterwards you were already there. I'm sure you know the one I mean but I dont want to name it as it my might bomb even further.

Jab118 - Trust you had a good weekend. I think we could see the benefit this week with a small rise from The Investor Show but if a major has been attracted who knows. It could be that New City High Yield Fund are considering further purchases.
I think they are involved with Hill Strata I. Plc on the Major Shareholder List based on the following:

1 Hill Strata I Plc 3,200000 = 1.97%

2 New City High Yield Fund Ltd 6,759440 = 4% as in news above.

3 1.97% of 6,759440 = 3,329024

Allowing that the % may not be totally accurate and some rounding up and down
points to Hill Strata I PLc acting for N C H Y F.

Hope you have a good week.

Dont know. Taking a stand at a show or a exhibition is something that would take planning time. so imo not related to recent share movement. Placing shares goes on all the time with companies, but dilution would effect the directors holdings as well as the P/I's. APH do not need operational cash.

Why does this company have to go to investor shows to pump up the stock, does this mean a placing coming to take advantage of the high shareprice.

Jab118 - Yes it does. I wouldn't have thought it would not need much selling with the 2008 results and the share charts to put in front of any interested investors. The benefit of The Show should carry on next week with another small rise, or if they have netted a major, who knows?.

Jab118 - Read your post and went to the youtube site. Yes we can survive here. They have had a terrific trading year and beside the divi are paying off the debt as scheduled. Thats why the S/P has continued to rise.
Two news realeases appertaining to Major investors in 8 days. Yes the major investors are taking more shares.
Alliance Pharmaceuticals are a good solid company that is delivering to its shareholders.
Jab118 I know you know what a good co we have here, and thats why your still here, and enjoying the ride. You can sit tall in your 4 wheel drive. You'll survive.

Jab118 - The 2008 Annual Report stated a modest dividend payment within the next year and it to be one they will be able to sustain in the future. Thats all the news on the Divi I have been able to discover. Its always nice to have some cash back no matter how modest and gives an incentive to stay long.
The blues had it 3-1 today on the trades which was good.

The RNS reiterated the manden divi payments for this year, have you any clue as to what it may be?

Jab118 - I dont know at the moment City High Yield Fund is quoted on the LSE epic NCYF but it doesn't give any clues. They must be in some sort of nominee account with either 8,9,or 10 on the list. Will investigate later when I have more time, as it does take awhile for the company site to update.
Tomorrow APH are at The Barbican if anybody attends perhaps they could tell the BB their experience.

which major share holder buys more?

Jab118 - Thats typical, just get the thread sorted out with Majors list, and a major buys some more shares and messes it up. It looks like further upward movement coming now as the market forces of supply and demand take over.
