20/3/2006 13:02 | We should get confirmation of the Irish deal in the next month and have £5 as a new floor. | miamisteve
20/3/2006 11:27 | RNS:- Chief exec & wife sold shares @435 on Friday..... | siskinbird
20/3/2006 09:42 | Yes, look at us go!! | siskinbird
20/3/2006 09:37 | at last the market has clocked on | daftvader3
17/3/2006 15:11 | Whoosh! Anyone know what happened at around 1.30 today? A broker upgrade perhaps? | siskinbird
17/3/2006 04:17 | Agree - With double digit growth forecast for 2006, this is still on a forward p/e of approx. x10. sector average x15. This disparity was justified when mcalpine was a construction company hybrid with a less certain track record and smaller order book, but I can no longer see this anomoly continuing. Mcalpine has one of the strongest balance sheets in the sector and a fast growing order book. Barring any glitches, the share price should tend toward £6-£6.50 this year. | miamisteve
16/3/2006 09:42 | Good solid results today, plus positive statement about prospects. Should move forward from here. | siskinbird
09/3/2006 20:22 | Nice RNS today. | siskinbird
21/2/2006 17:06 | It looks like the share price is correcting itself slowly. If the Ireland deal is the same sort of £50m pa figures mentioned in the last announcement then MCA are back below forward p/e of 10 with a healthy forward order book and zero debt. target £8. | miamisteve
20/2/2006 17:52 | Potential new Bank of Ireland contract announced this morning. If they can complete it, it shows the management delivering on public promises. Only negative is whether Ireland with its higher inflation and tiht labour markets is the same as the UK, but the market could only view this positively to begin with. | 18bt
15/2/2006 12:40 | Well small medium term contracts yes. Short on details, but at an historic margin £50m in turnover will add approx 10% to profits a year. | miamisteve
14/2/2006 11:27 | Agreed miami - amazing that there wasn't more reaction. I suppose companies this big are just expected to keep up a flow of such announcements. | siskinbird
13/2/2006 17:14 | £50m a year contract. Should've added 5%+ to the share price | miamisteve
10/2/2006 09:40 | IC Buy tip today | 18bt
08/2/2006 09:35 | Looking good. Even better news imminent with new contract.450p target? | raven81
03/2/2006 16:29 | Company website added to header. | siskinbird
23/1/2006 18:52 | Yep. Very encouraging. Finally looks like we've shaken off £4 | miamisteve
23/1/2006 15:46 | Good perfomance today - an island of blue in a sea of red! | siskinbird
16/1/2006 12:11 | Thanks 18BT Looking very good since trading statement. | siskinbird
13/1/2006 18:26 | Good thread. IC has reitereated buy rec. today for those who care. | 18bt
13/1/2006 16:26 | Good thread. All signs are positive. Internal reorganisation looks well timed to add focus to 2006 strategy. Some good prospects in order pipeline | winsorsmythe3
13/1/2006 15:58 | Lafiamma - Excellent timing on your entrance as usual. Now that mca has moved from construction to support services it represents around a 35% discount to peer group. Perhaps with a smaller order book than others (seems to be filling up nicely) but no debt which is a reassurance against the amey/jarvis risks. | miamisteve
12/1/2006 00:25 | Good work on the new thread... sorry I've been in this for ages and just like to watch! lol. Was hoping this may get a bit more popular so somebody would do a thread!!! | michaelmansour
11/1/2006 00:01 | New thread by siskinbird here: | lafiamma
11/1/2006 00:00 | Cheers for the thread Siskinbird, I've been in/out of this over the past year. Got back in this morning after T/S at 380.25 laf :o) | lafiamma |
