Strange that the de-merger from Cooksons has reduced the combined BBs posts of VSVS and ALNT by so much so quickly?(compared to the old Cooksons BB)

Is it because(so far) it's just been an increases in both SP's and BB like to post when disasters are happening?

I've just noticed Alent has a 10p spread on IG Index, ususally it's just 2p

Results can't be that different from before demerger, it's only a couple of months

As predicted, very strange and volatile share price movement here and we're short on facts for the time being. Am waiting with interest to see who the new FD will be and, more importantly, what he/she will do! Demerged companies tend to do well in the first couple of years after they get their independence but this story could unfold in very different ways. Well worth keeping an eye on.

I think I got it wrong

Lars Foerberg/Cevian just bought a further 6724 shares at 300p yesterday pushing his/their holding from 20.002% to 20.004%

How do they keep buying at 300p and why has the share price gone up so much?

I think I've got it now, can anybody confirm.

Lars Foerberg is a connected person to Alent because he work for/ is a director of Cevian Capital who were the biggest shareholders of Cookson.

Is Cevian going to try to take Alent private?

Or a straight takeover?
