Yes suspect more upside as more shorts will be closed (in significant profit). As of Monday the board were reporting a possible 50p rights issue, the share price is now @ 28p....

@ CT

rubbish in your opinion

"50 million debt is less than 3 times profits."

personally i would regard anything more than one years profit as too high

especially when you have operating leases to cover and you are also exposed to a volatile gold price

"50 million debt is less than 3 times profits"

But you need to compare to 2013 profits....

Have bought my first few today though as there is a reasonable underlying business but a gamble nonetheless

Maybe the Board will pawn the business and pay themselves a FAT BONUS.

They have done a WONDERFUL JOB.

Posted on them today at the blog:

hxxp://expectingvalue.com/shares/albemarle-bond-abm-2

I've been following them for a while and, while I expected results to be significantly below what was being priced in and forecast, I didn't see the covenant breach and the fallout coming. Shows the danger of debt I suppose!

hello hello

they wouldn't be breeaching any covenants or be seeking a rescue rights issue were they not carrying too much debt

The last full set of financial statements for ABM revealed that its gold activities were contributing around two thirds of its operating profits.
