19/9/2023 09:46 | They knew this would happen they studied rainfall and mine levels for three years and still it floods. Imagine NRW won't be happy when they get the memo saying by the way we've increased dewatering so it doesn't flood a makeshift tarp roofed tent and some scaffolding. NRW - YOUR PERMIT REFUSED | honfacifi
19/9/2023 08:58 | no chance of dewatering now Wales weather warning: 200mm of rain and flooding likely 18th September WEATHER By Patrick Glover @paddy_glover21 SEO Reporter Share No Comments The yellow weather warning will last 36 hours and will be in place across North Wales from Tuesday (September 19) to Wednesday (September 20). (Image: Getty Images) The yellow weather warning will last 36 hours and will be in place across North Wales from Tuesday (September 19) to Wednesday (September 20). (Image: Getty Images) The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for parts of North Wales as heavy rain looks likely to cause flooding in the area. North Wales could see as much as 200mm of rain in the coming days which is likely to lead to flooding causing disruptions to public transport, roads and power. The yellow weather warning is set to be in place for 36 hours - from 6am tomorrow (September 19) to 6pm on Wednesday (September 20). The heavy rain/flood warning will be in place for most of North Wales including Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd | iceagefarmer
18/9/2023 21:13 | 'NRW has refused the Company's request for a temporary extension to the higher rate (100m3/day) abstraction rate to take account of the exceptionally heavy and unseasonal rainfall experienced in north Wales during July and August, which was some three times higher than the average rainfall for the time of year and which resulted in the reflooding of the workings. As a consequence, the Company has commenced an emergency abstraction of water pursuant to the Water Resources Act 1991, in order to safeguard the safety and access works which were completed by Alba at Levels 2 and 3 of the Lower Llechfraith Workings prior to those levels reflooding (Figure 1). Notice of the emergency abstraction has been given to the regulator.' | honfacifi

16/8/2023 09:17 | I watched the movie a few weeks back about the 13 young Thai boys trapped in the flooded caves and the unbelievable rescue mission. If you have not seen it I highly recommend as a must watch. Especially how they struggled to drain the water seeping in to the caves. I'm not sure how much more water NWR are going to allow to be pumped out in to the pristine streams and rivers. That's the easy part. It looks like they will have to be pumping water from the mines 24/7 until eternity at the level they are allowed to extract. At least the CEO and the workers are getting paid 😂 | negan
16/8/2023 08:56 | This mornings RNS, exceptional rain fall 🤣 its WALES. Its always raining. Wait until the rainy season 😂 | negan
