XD in a couple of weeks.

Saw a good article today - Bed Bugs are making a huge come back :-)

My mate has had is house riddled with them - puts it down to taking his pillow broad with him to the US when he has to stay in hotels. Cost a fortune to have the bedroom fumigated and they threw out their's and the son's bed.

I wonder how many other people have lobbed the bed because of bedbugs?

Dont look good does it. Stock is not dumped at well below market price for nothing and such a huge sale too.

Retailers are expecrted to have a rough time with goverment spending cuts hitting consumer pockets.

Not the one to hold here .

Looks like someone dumped 140K today @ 16p.

I remember Elmfield offloading 120K at miles below the market and buying a chunk off the mm's last March rather cheaply - bet if you want more you could get some of the 90K left over at 18p or so if they don't have a taker (50K gone already by the look of it)

EKT resutls out on the 16th September. Expect bumper interims and a first interim dividend. With the tie up with Hartest profits will roar ahead next year. EKT is a fantastic growth story still unfolding. Most investors see stock doubling the next 12 months.

Kidderminister carpet maker in administration

The company began manufacturing in 1934
One of the Midlands' last carpet manufacturers, Carpets of Kidderminster, is in administration.

The firm, based in Stourport, Worcestershire, gave the news on its website and said later that 50 jobs were under threat as it restructures.

The company has been in existence for more than 70 years and 122 people work at the site.

"The management remain optimistic regarding the outlook for the company," the firm said in a statement.

"The current production team, recruited early this year, have identified areas where remedial action will ensure the company returns to profitability in the short term."

Managing Director David Watts said by taking the action they will have "a long and viable future."

The firm describes itself on its website as the UK's largest specialist woven carpet manufacturer.

Well no sellers on the results, only buyers Newbie - I suggest the mm's wanted the mark down and trigger a few sellers and got their bluff called.

Yep, I bought a few at 50p clocktower. I orignally bought back in 06, got a lot at between 14p and 17p. Bought a few more between 20p and 50p.

My average including those I bought a year or so ago @ beteen 7p and 9p is under 20p.

I was just highlighting that those bought a year go are returning me way over 6% p.a. and after this divi will have returned me over 15%. Sadly a banking collapse happened in 2007 and I never foresaw that. But despite it APG now have £2.4m cash and earnings are higher than in 2007.

Isn't it a signal that beds are core and the 'other activities' needn't be, potentially suggesting these are dumped, and the critical mass etc established in the bedding arena

They are already working with Kenneth Karmin in the US Joe Say, they are paid royalties for the use og the Airsprung brand.

I suspect the announcement means either APG outsource part of the business to another bed manufacturer or they start badging their beds for anotther bed supplier rather than them making their own beds.

I'm intrigued as to why they've taken on a 'real broker' tho and changed the name to drop the word 'furniture' tho.

I take the strategy to mean that Airsprung are the acquiring company, not the selling one, as they talk of the future of APG (not A.N.Other), viz

The directors believe that the future for companies such as the Airsprung Group will be enhanced if they develop critical mass with the potential for increased efficiencies and market penetration.

Well I picked up loads at 7p-9p so if it sounds desperate when those shares are up 200% and paying me 6%+ on what I paid then so be it.

Anyone that bought these sub 20p this am are in profit.

Reading the chairmans statement on current trade is probably the reason the shares are dipping,it looks like a long term problem
