Yes, all seems encouraging. Happy to hold with a 6% yield thrown in and recovering markets. Good value in my opinion. Momentum building as well which may encourage more interest.

Mas - Note that Liberum upgraded their TP yesterday to 480p on the back of the Cabot Aviation acquisition (see #515 above). Also worth bearing in mind that Liberum are house broker so will naturally err on the optimitic side!

Todays drop due to the shares going XD.

Air Partner plc declares 15.4p dividend
Shareholders of record on Thursday, May 14th will be given a dividend of 15.4p per share on Monday, June 15th. This represents a yield of 4%. The ex-dividend date of this dividend is Thursday, May 14th. On the ratings front, analysts at Liberum Capital reiterated a “buy” rating and set a 400p price target on shares of Air Partner plc in a research note on Friday, March 13th.

Some positive press coverage of yesterdays acquisition.

Air Partner spreads its wings in private jets
In Europe’s rapidly consolidating executive jet market, Air Partner, the quoted aviation broker, has acquired a specialist in leasing out homeless or distressed aircraft. Cabot Aviation works with airlines directly, or with banks and insolvency practitioners, to find homes for aircraft that are no longer affordable for their owners. It is working to lease the unwanted Embraer aircraft that are weighing heavily on FlyBe, on the Airbus aircraft made redundant by the receivership of Cyprus Airways, and on a fleet of ageing Chinese Boeing 747 freighters. Air Partner is hoping that Cabot can repeat the trick in the executive jet market. “The deal brings us new opportunities to go for,” Mark Briffa, Air Partner’s chief executive, said of a deal that is costing his company £1.2m.

Todays rise seems to be on the back of quite a few small Buys, which is indicative of the relative illiquidity of this stock at the retail level. My entry level investment @364p last week now looks to
have been quite well-timed. Positive view of the small acquisition was probably the catalyst today.

Annual Report looks pretty good. Some interesting stories included on their propositions. One thing is missing. The Royal Warrant has gone - have they lost it as it's not mentioned on their web-site either?

Today, Thursday 30 April according to Sharescope, instead of the usual volume of below 50k AIP shares traded there were 1.41m traded. The small rise in the share price suggests some sort of roll-over trade, but does anyone with ears to the ground have more information? Of course it may be a mistake.

Yes, looks good to me. Increase in the dividend is very bullish. Happy to hold as still very cheap and with a fat yield. Looks like they are winning more business so could get re-rated as a growth stock if conditions keep improving. Balance sheet still OK and reduction in cash explained.

The accounts look good.
Here is a company that has been rejuvinated. It looks like the whole operation had got a bit lacklustre , so they've shaken things up , got rid of things that didn't work , invested in front office for sales , back office for technology, created the jetcard product , got some new staff in and it looks like a pretty focussed business that is loking to push ahead from a position of strength.
I liked the accounts , they read well , figures are good but also clear and understandable and open . They inspire confidence.
I'm happy. I'm a recent buyer , flagged up by Bearbull in IC , who I'm a fan of , so well done Bearbull!

Liberum raise target to £4.80, I take broker targets with a pinch of salt, but this co. is working to regain support from investors, a quality operation in the private jet sector.

Let's hope they don't disappoint, then! Wouldn't be the first time that insiders have taken PIs for suckers. That is in general, not necessarily at AIP. So long as the ship is steady + the dividend meets forecast, I'll be relatively happy.

Not a valid enough reason not to buy the the shares, we all know these have a wide spread, and visibility improving if you read the comments emerging from the co.!

5.5% spread ouch not worth the risk especially with the low forward visibility.

I'm hoping that we will see these challenge their two year highs in the medium term, it seems to be a well-run business, with experienced personnel knowledgable in this specific sector of the airline business and what appears an improving outlook with a strong reputation historically.
