Thanks JB - adds some colour onto where Afren are likely to go over the next couple of years. One query:

"Afren sealed the US$150 million contract for the vessel from Malaysia's Bumi Armada Group."

Is that figure correct?

Has left a nasty looking inverted hammer on the chart.

On the other hand the spike up punched through the upper Bollinger Band, then retraced to close within it.

On one foot the spike attempted to take out the upper trend line and failed.

On the other foot we are reaching the apex of a rising wedge.

Hmmm.

Wouldn'pay too much attention to the shares traded after the bell.most of the are above nms so are delayed from earlier in the day.This spike down has happened several times over the past few months. My guess is it's purely MM games. During the spike up earlier this afternoon level 2 was showing a huge scramble for shares and at one point the book was emptied. It's my guess that the MM's were caught short and were balancing the books during the last 90 minutes of trading. I'm guessing A lot of people will assume that MS have finished buying and are expecting a retrace and hence when the tree was shaken there was a small sell off.

So easy to get hung up on intraday movements and trades showing up after hours.best to remember that the Company is exactly the same as it was this morning, well apart from the fact we're one day closer to oil

Would be interesting to see in a couple of days time that Morgan Stanley increased their holding today by another 3m. They ARE big enough to get the MM's to play around with the prices.
If indeed they are scooping up all the short term holdings, then this may well get to £1.15 by Christmas.

its all to be expected this.. imho... Masoin..

there was an almight shake on friday at 16:29 doen to 84p bid price!! then back upto 97p on the offer all within a few seconds..

this great stuff me thinks.

hmmm. why wouldn't they just let the large order up its price ? If I want shares and suggest 100 you reckon they'll drop it for me?

I think the price was pushed down to fill the large order at 104p just appeared o my lvl2 500,000 at 104... that a big wack... lets see what happens tomrrow.. hopefully up.
