12/12/2007 12:35 | they kep slippin' it in !! lol | leeson31
12/12/2007 12:34 | I agree with you. 1 v 1. There is definitely an iceberg on top of the offer at the moment. | ilancas
12/12/2007 12:31 | retort - but we'll be closer to production then, and I feel, or conject, there will be 'new blood', (pi's) adjoining the club.... We're so close to production now, that I think it can only rise from here. I see mS as them making an 'investment', and as such, expect a much higher share price Early investors here, took the 'chance' on it actually working, but MS and other inst's have bought into a tangible asset, hence we make more money by being invested at a cheap share price But with them joining the party from 'near production' to post production ( additional acquisitions etc) they will make money there too, just like us.. imho of course :-) | leeson31
12/12/2007 12:26 | Conjecture: there has been no shortage of sellers of AFR stock, especially into strength. I guess MS has been snapping them up. When they've had their fill we may find the going more difficult. | ilancas
12/12/2007 12:23 | sory, meant 105.75 but it dropped from then.. it moves quick !. | leeson31
12/12/2007 12:22 | Leeson are you getting your threads mixed up today? | ilancas
12/12/2007 12:21 | There is a seller in the market, placing chunks of 9578 shares on the offer, 1p below the mm's. However, there are plenty of buy orders supporting the price. SCAP and JEFF are the highest mm's on the bid at 103.5p. | ilancas
12/12/2007 12:09 | buyers !! :-) good At buying going on jack. on leve 2.. just nedd that 6032 shares to be taken and up the share price to 95.75. | leeson31
12/12/2007 11:58 | Leeson Not sure what the pattern represents at the moment. The Dow futures are up on talk of the Fed implementing a new system to aid the current liquidity problem. Both the Dow and FTSE have suffered since yesterdays Fed rate cut wasn't as large as expected, however, predictions are we'll see a bounce this afternoon. Unlikely that will have any effect on AFR, although confident MS are still buying and market confidence may result in sellers drying up which only means one thing? JB | jack brent
12/12/2007 11:54 | Can't remember if this was posted yesterday, an update. HOUSTON, Dec. 11 -- Afren PLC and Amni International Petroleum Development Co. have taken delivery of the Armada Perkasa floating production, storage, and offloading vessel, which will be moored at the Okoro Setu oil project, off Nigeria. The FPSO, which sailed out from Keppel Shipyard in Singapore, is due to arrive at the Okoro terminal in February. Bumi Armada Berhad owns and operates the Armada Perkasa. It is a refurbished, 211-m-long, 33,081 ton vessel having a storage capacity of 360,000 bbl of crude oil and a total liquids processing capacity of 27,000 b/d. It will process the total well fluids, producing stabilized crude for storage in the FPSO, with subsequent regular offloading by export tankers (OFJ Online, Apr. 23, 2007). The field development plan calls for as many as five oil producers to be drilled from a single unmanned wellhead platform. Production is expected to start by the end of first-quarter 2008 and ramp up to about 15,000-20,000 b/d by midyear. Oil will be transported by pipeline to the FPSO for processing and storage. | riverdiver
12/12/2007 11:43 | imho SCAP are selling the stock at the moment... perhaps the yhave afew to get rid off !? theyre positioned at 97p on th eoffer, so they really are putting themselves on the bid.. anyone with level two ?? what yoru current take on it ? tia | leeson31

12/12/2007 10:35 | no jonny, its excellent that MS buying... even if it is for a client... | leeson31
12/12/2007 10:12 | For the record I bought nearly all my Afren shares in the 40's with a top up in the 50's. I have sold none. I did have a spreadbet position that I sold out of at 86p and put into Frontera. However I am uncomfortable with Morgan Stanley holding nearly 10%. Shouldn't we be asking why? The only reason I can see is stakebuilding for a client. JonnyT | ngms27
12/12/2007 10:06 | ..and its a good buy at 104p if you hold em long term imho | 5bag
12/12/2007 09:59 | Lets not kick poor hopeful individuals. Season of Goodwill etc.. See the share price going up again LOL | 5bag
12/12/2007 09:57 | Johnny mostly harmless. seems to have upset many on TMF over the years with contradictory posts but in his defence there is a medical condition. Serious comment by the way. Nothing against Jonny, I just temper his posts with those thoughts. cheer$! | mikey_b
12/12/2007 09:54 | maybe its afren to take soco :-) sorry, just kiddin JonnyT.... were pullin' the same strings you seemingly are pulling. :-) | leeson31
