Seeing as no mention was made of Monday's vote, are we to infer this has also been delayed or have they not allowed themselves enough time between that vote and the previous outside date, hence the need for its extension?

I think the chances of this deal not completing are now very remote. This delay is more likely to be simply a case of IMIC trying to scare investors out so that they can pick up a few final cheap shares.

It can't go the same way as SDL-Hanlong can it? After all SDL and Hanlong are two separate companies run by completely different people who have no other business partnerships with each other, as far as I can tell.

I hope AFF-IMIC is not going the same disastrous route as SDL-Hanlong!

OT - Green, hope the wind surfing is going well. Worth researching MNC. The reason I originaly got into AFF & GKP was down to the size, scale and quality of there projects, AFF is now in the process of being taken out, you know the story with GKP (just a matter of when and not if there). MNC has a world class copper project in Los Calatos, capable of producing 100,000 tonnes of copper per annum, which would be a big copper producing mine of interest to majors and the Chinese/Japanese, the company are currently speaking to companies who are interested in JVing into Los Calatos, which is currently 100% owned by MNC. The project is in Peru which has much lower energy costs than Chile, the worlds largest copper producing nation. Anyway worth taking some time to research that company. All IMHO and DYOR. Regards, The Count.

Seems like imic were doing a reasonable job on newsflow and improving credibility only for someone to screw up again. still holding on the basis imic are serious about something (not for a minute do I think they care about PIs) and will not want to completely undermine their reputation by defaulting on the notes. But who knows....

Perhaps there's a complaint being lodged with the BC court over the lack of transparency regarding detail behind that bland statement in the circular that the Directors' interests may not be the same as those of the shareholders?

On another matter, did anyone else notice that our old friends from the pre-split days, Hentsch Bank nominees, have now bailed out of IMIC or at least gone below the regulatory radar level?

Sorry if this has been discussed already but has anyone had an answer from td or iii on the ability to hold the notes; either in an isa or not?

I think I may have bought your dregs Green! I sold out for a while as, like you, I didn't see the share price going anywhere and invested elsewhere ( mainly IOF, MONI and TCG but also coincidentally FXPO), but decided to buy back a small holding yesterday in case the share price started to move up a tad as we approached takeover.

I still feel that IMIC will do what our BOD weren't able to, so leaving 5p/share invested in the hope of it becoming 46p in 2 years still looks like good odds to me. I may be wrong, only time will tell.

It seems I am now however back in a little early!

Well, as of today, I am officially out of AFF. I can't be doing with the trauma of battling HSBC however right or wrong I am. Also the cash I have divested from AFF has performed better than leaving it in and taking an extra 40p in two years (if HSBC gave it to me), with that in mind I have opted to take my remainder now knowing I get 85p rather than risk taking 80p and sacrificing the remainder to the HSBC coffers.

To stick with IO I have bought some FXPO on the dip today other than that my other divestments have been away from the resource sector (excluding the quick 60% I took from adding to my MML).

I hope that the loan notes come good for all that hold on for them and maybe (just maybe) I might have a look at IMIC at some point. Aside from that I wish you all well with this and future investments and thank everyone for their help on here over the past 3-4yrs that I have held AAAM/AFF.

Soul - Just regarding CAF. Cash isn't equal to the market cap. The market cap is £4.3m and the cash is £1.7m?

There were some very knowledgable and informative posters on here back when AFF was still going strong - with the uptick in sentiment on AIM could I ask where you guys will be heading with your proceeds? Does anyone see any other companies with similar potential in the west African iron ore space?

Any thoughts on ferrex?

Also note the recent departure of both the CEO and the CFO, as well as the provenance of the replacement CFO and the short tenure of the previous CEO.
