26/10/2009 09:43 | UNBELIEVABLE INDEED: - they can't even get the right date on the RNS. HUGH BEVAN: I guess the fD Hugh Bean - sorry, Bevan - must be under a lot of pressure just now and would really appreciate hearing something from us shareholders in these difficult times. If anyone is thinking of dropping an email he's at hugh.bevan@aero-inve | sandbank
26/10/2009 09:00 | UNBELIEVABLE!!!! New systems introduced to reconcile inventory - does this mean that it was not being reconciled previously? If so, how the hell did Delloittes sign of the audit? It is a company that holds inventory - so the most basic financial control is knowing how much you've got & how much it's worth! The banks will now cream us for breach of covenants - and not just for the late publication of accounts (if inventory was overstated, then asset coverage for the debt was probably not high enough). I had the misfortune of meeting Huw Bevan once. I was not impressed. He has to go - but, no doubt, he will receive a massive payoff. | daihardtoo
26/10/2009 08:45 | Inventory went up by $300m in the year in question, so this could be quite a hit to the balance sheet. Do they really expect us to believe they didn't know about this when the results were postponed recently? | martinc
26/10/2009 08:38 | How could they possibly allow this to happen just two days before their results are published? You have to wonder if the move up from AIM can now go ahead | sandbank
26/10/2009 08:36 | Just had a quick look & answered my own question. Deloittes are the auditors. If they havene' been doing their job properly, then I think we should get together to sue them. Very, very hacked off. | evaluate
26/10/2009 08:21 | It looks lke someone is going to have to count the nuts and bolts in the storage racks. Was the inventory an INVENTory? | this_is_me
26/10/2009 07:58 | This looks bad, possible wipeout. The old adage 'bad figures take longer to add up than good ones' strikes again. I wonder if the the full listing was a smokescreen? | richardbroughton
26/10/2009 07:58 | Trading suspended. Irregularities on inventory accounting. Not great news | 5070481
26/10/2009 07:57 | SUSPENSION: I think we need a damn sight more inFo than is in this morning's statements. | sandbank
19/10/2009 13:06 | QS9. I'm pretty certain we're going to get a good set of results. They won't want to list on the main market on the back of bad / indifferent results IMHO. | fr4dge
19/10/2009 13:03 | Am in ahead of the results, reckon a little bit of good news will see this motor....DYOR | qs9
16/10/2009 15:36 | Why would a potential bidder wait for AI to gain an FTSE listing, with all the associated costs, before making a bid? One possible bid of circa 800p was rebuffed. I can't see anyone now offering more. | tday
16/10/2009 11:47 | That would be very nice.. any more info or just wishful thinking. If there was one, Rupert wouldnt let it go cheap. | mdj8
16/10/2009 11:25 | Bid coming after FTSE listing. (IMO :-) | dawsonpaul
12/10/2009 09:57 | I sold out of these at 610 and am just putting a toe in the water again today as a sighting shot to concntrate the mind. I missed the bottom buying opportunity but it may jump around a bit before another take off. | hillbrown
09/10/2009 16:46 | Nice close back above the 50dma, looking good for Monday. | matt123d
09/10/2009 15:21 | I prefer a blunt stick given the choice :-) | sleveen
09/10/2009 14:31 | 12.5% up on the day. Better than a poke in the eye with a rusty sword. | fr4dge
09/10/2009 14:17 | oh yea of little faith | redips2
09/10/2009 13:00 | The world of AI. shareholders looks considerably brighter today:-) so far anyway! Dibbs | dibbs
09/10/2009 10:18 | Nice recovery so far this morning, taken a position for the run up to 300p. | matt123d
09/10/2009 09:07 | The risk of Air Canada being unable to pay Aero Inventory has receded dramatically over the last few weeks. The article you mention is good news for Aero Inventory. It means they will get paid. | fr4dge
08/10/2009 23:44 | I did mention some issues a while back wrt employee payment delays and layoffs in the canadian IT dept. Did not bode well with me so I pulled out back then. Air Canada owes AI a bucketload and they aren't doing to well: I think this will sort itself eventually with some good prospects to jump in cheap. | dawsonpaul
08/10/2009 21:09 | Interesting moves today. I suspect this is for no reason except maybe exchange rate. I traded 30,000 to move physical holding into CFD and take advantage of volatility. I don't know if this amount would be unsettling. At the time there was a glut of sellers at 255. As for the merits of the stock, I can't add anything except its a punt with good upside potential. | 40kj
08/10/2009 20:14 | You could also argue that moving to the main market is to assist in a share issue, either now or in the future, to support a new contract. In which case it could possibly be good news. In either case, I don't see why it necessitated postponing the results. | martinc |
