11/6/2010 08:37 | Only had a glance at the results and they look very strong, as we suspected they would be. Market are positive to them, up 25%. Regards ic2........ | interceptor2
11/6/2010 07:49 | Results out and they look very good indeed! | saucepan
10/6/2010 09:37 | The secretary indicated that 21 days before the AGM was the normal reporting date for full year results. Which should have made the reporting date yeasterday. So maybe later today or tomorrow, or maybe who knows? Definitely maybe........ Regards ic2...... | interceptor2
09/6/2010 13:31 | Results must be out very soon. | tyranosaurus
07/6/2010 20:14 | I remember the last set of results (when i bought) and the price shot up something like 80% in the first hour. I remember my buy being over 50% up within half an hour. Its since been around 20-30% down! EPS would have been great this year if they hadnt issued a gazillion shares at 12p. Got to show around 75% growth now to get decent numbers this year, although i live in hope! | stegrego
07/6/2010 18:17 | Great, interceptor; thanks. I am feeling even happier now | saucepan
07/6/2010 16:46 | Nice a small divi, results must be good, roll on results and hopefully shareprice re rate to a higher level. | barnsey
07/6/2010 16:46 | Haven't great internet access this week, so a bit slow to post. But AEC have just realeased the AGM date for 30th June, which would mean 09th June Wednesday for full year results. 21 days before AGM which ties in with the company telling me the timescale, alas two days out. Interesting to see a proposed final dividend of 0.15p which is planed to go ex dividend on 23 June which is fairly efficent. The market should respond in a positive way, and I think this all looks more positive for the results. Regards ic2......... | interceptor2
07/6/2010 09:44 | OK, despite my earlier expressed caution, I have bought a few just now, after a bit more research. Let's see what results bring and I might add more. | saucepan
07/6/2010 08:26 | Noted, Stegrego; thanks. I was simply going by the discussion on the thread. You folks seem to have been expecting an announcement of some kind since March. Interceptor seems a decent poster and reported what the Company told him/her. AEC remains on my watch list. | saucepan
07/6/2010 08:23 | Finals last year 12th June. Not even as late as last year yet nor did they give any results day announcement last year. History says nothing odd about this so far. | stegrego
07/6/2010 08:21 | Hi folks I have this on my watch list, as the fundamentals look very interesting. However, I am increasingly disconcerted by the lack of appearance of results or any notification thereof. In my experience that is often a bad sign. Holders be careful. Interceptor: I note that you posted that the Company said results would be today? | saucepan
26/5/2010 14:56 | If I was brave enough I should top up at these depressed levels, I believe I would be rewarded very nicely. I have cash waiting to invest, but I guess I will do the sensible thing and await the results. | interceptor2
26/5/2010 13:59 | Me too......If results are stonking which after looking at the International extract from EDD, I would expect. Then a 100% rise to 30p would be very likely, if last years results are any guide. | interceptor2
26/5/2010 12:53 | Cheers - hoping they are stonking as im down heavily in this. Wouldnt take much buying for it to shoot up 50%. | stegrego
26/5/2010 09:37 | Dates for the diary........ Have just called the company and told 7th June for Final results, with AGM to follow 28th June. Regards ic2 | interceptor2
25/5/2010 20:41 | Well TDW are now estimating tomorrow as results day, it would tie in with what the company advised me, late May. We will see. EDD reported interims today and the srongest growth was the International division, at this rate they might as well takeover AEC. See extract below......... International Qualifications Services Sales have increased by 15.9% to GBP3.13m (2009: GBP2.70m). On a currency adjusted basis, the underlying increase in revenue was 15.3%. To take advantage of current favourable exchange rates, we have extended our hedging arrangements to 30 June 2013. Numbers of candidates registered for our LCCI International Qualifications has increased by some 20% compared with the same period last year and all the main markets are performing broadly in line with or ahead of our expectations. Joint programmes with government agencies in Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and Germany are contributing additional growth. This is a pleasing result as it demonstrates the benefits of the additional resources we have invested in this area of the business over the past 12 months. The international business, which annually accounts for around 25% of revenue, continues to be an important area for development. We plan to allocate more resources here because the huge size of the international education market offers the potential for consistent long-term growth. | interceptor2
18/5/2010 16:16 | I see someone took atvantage of the low price today @ 18p, I would be temted to add myself if they got their act together, and advised on the website of future result dates. Some trading updates would good also. I happen to expect results to be good and that these are undervalued, I just wish they would give a better service to investors. I noticed that MLO are in advanced talks re a takeover offer they have recieved, which shows how much value and undervalued companies are out there. With the weak pound we will see many more takeovers announced. As well as aec I think cll, chns, gng, itk, jdg, which I hold and many more are in the same position. | interceptor2
15/5/2010 12:23 | TDW showing this Tuesday 18th May as Results date, only estimated again. But it would tie in with the end of May which I was advised when I called the company last month. | interceptor2
04/5/2010 11:16 | BBC2 20:00 tonight "Theo's Adventure Capitalists" (Theo Paphitis) Worth watching for holders in AEC who have a significant interest in Vietnam with the Brainbox division. One of three companies featured tonight is a British Education company trying to break into the Vietnam market, should give some interesting insights into the potential future business in Eduacation. Looks like an interesting series of programmes with India next week and Brazil the week after. | interceptor2
30/4/2010 15:10 | interesting...someon | pre
01/4/2010 18:28 | They would seem to be set fair agreed, but its a long termer and should be worth it when the market wakes up to where this co is going. Nice to see that edd hold 3 million shares in aec,you would presume being business partners they know how well aec is doing and see this as a good investment. | barnsey
01/4/2010 16:05 | Well spotted barnsey. I thought things were set fair but this helps confirm it. | jl9
01/4/2010 11:03 | Trading update from edd today with interesting comment re international side which should acheive the same positive outcome for AEC, roll on results. The international business has performed well, after taking account of the positive impact of movements in currency exchange rates, and this reflects the positive benefits of the additional resources put into this area of our business over the past 12 months | barnsey
08/3/2010 10:41 | No results today so I called the company where a very nice lady advised results will be released towards the end of May. | interceptor2 |
