Finer detail on "run rate" for component division:

H1 run rate of £7.2 million up 28% on last year

Year to date (8 months) of £9.7 million

Average monthly run rate H1 £1.2 million

Last 2 months average run rate £1.25 million

Overall average run rate on improving trend in H2. I think second half is normally seen as a better half on a historic basis.

ST: When CFO's become CE's I cringe but have to say the use of the word 'Fantastic' by an accountant say's more about the true Company position than any news snippets could ever do.

Richard Hodgson, Chief Executive of APC Technology Group PLC, commented:

"The progress that we continue to make throughout the Group is significant and a direct result of the daily focus of our staff and their commitment to creating a growing and innovative business. The momentum represented by our component division order book, our new LED lighting product range that allows us to enter the wider lighting market, and the recognition of the intelligence that we offer clients through our Solutions business, puts us in a fantastic position to drive profitable growth across the Group."

Have already been in touch with Richard Hodgson, with recommendations to do a podcast and I believe both the company and its PR department has in mind a number of mediums to get the story out, one of which could be a podcast.

This is the year when shareholders could see a rapid rise in the share price and maybe like a previous poster said multiples higher from here.

2015 the distribution business had an operating profit of £696,000

Forecasts for 2016 by brokers at January this year were an operating profit of £971,000.

Looks like any forecasts on distribution side to be smashed!

Hydrus,

The component division is a highly cash generative and profitable business.

Not sure how you can possibly say that without there being any clarity on whether the company is making profits

Article from Minimise on twitter:
Most of our project work centres around the refurbishment of existing property portfolios. But LEDs are also gaining significant traction in the OEM sector. And it’s not just car manufacturers that have seen the (LED) light!

Last year we completed a project for one of the UK’s best known high street names, replacing old and inconsistent fluorescent tubes in fridge and freezer units with LED T8, T5 and 2G11 CFL lamps.

Following a rigorous testing phase at the retailer’s flagship London store, it was agreed that the new lamps provided a cool, even illumination, eliminating ‘dull’ spots and significantly improving the colour of products on sale.

As part of the testing phase the new lights were subjected to ‘the chicken test’. Chicken is one of the most difficult products to light and needs careful lamp selection to make it look its best when on display.

As our lamps not only passed ‘the chicken test’ but also reduced unit energy consumption by 50%, we embarked on a 425 store upgrade programme. On completion, we’d manufactured, supplied and installed more than 40,000 lamps, delivered an energy saving of £350,000 and a reduction in carbon emissions of over 10,400 tCO2 over 5 years.

But that’s not where the story ends.

The retailer has subsequently asked us to work with their chilled unit manufacturer to ensure that all new units are a match for those that have been refurbished.

Earlier this year we embarked on a testing programme to identify which lamps were best suited to each chilled and freezer cabinet and could easily be accommodated during the manufacturing process. Critically, they all had to meet ‘the chicken test’, matching the colour rendition of the refurbished units, and delivering optimum energy efficiency.

We have since supplied 3,000 new LED lamps direct to the manufacturer and anticipate that this will become a requirement for all new retail units in the near future.

Stay Long says British Bulls charts, we have been here before however and I am not a chartist.

I tend to rely on fundamentals prospects and news-flow and positive news tends to direct the share price is due course.

The marker is not pricing in the 28% increase in distributor sales at the moment at some stage it will do.

I notice Digital Look haven't updated the longer scale forecasts yet they tend to drag the market on that front.

The longer term forecasts are still in my header albeit I reckon we will see a upgrade after results.

Have emailed Richard Hodgson myself a few minutes ago, asking him to update the company investors diary as to likely results date.

I see no reason why the results cannot be brought forward as they are interim results and do not require the same audit.

This is what i got back:Thank you for getting in touch and for your suggestion. We are considering approaching Justin re his podcast as part of the Company's PR activity around the interim results. These were published towards the end of May last year and, although a firm date is yet to be confirmed, you can expect this year's to go out at around the same time.
