11/5/2017 13:19 | Someone likes em! As usual " investors " have no clue as to when to buy. Time to perhaps buy is that time of maximum pessimism. Yes that can always turn against you so spread the risk. | escapetohome
09/5/2017 09:23 | twirl it has nothing to do with the shareprice in the market, it is to do with the issue price of the shares. The Bracknor death spiral is linked to the market price, the good doctor has said he WILL buy at 30p. It is unusual to pay a premium to market price for what is a relatively small stake. As far as the good doctor having information not generally available to inform his purchase, that is called insider dealing and is illegal - not that that stopped David Evans when he dumped all his shares. Nobody should blindly follow tips good or bad, but should do their own research. Even the best get it wrong, including Warren Buffett. However one bit of really good advice is do not try to catch a falling knife. There is no reverse Newtonian law which says what goes down must go up. If a share has fallen by 90% there is far more chance that it will fall by another 90% than it will go up by 90%. That is not to say it can't happen, as it sometimes does. Sometimes the rise is on ramping and false hope and the rise is short lived and you need to get the timing of trading right to take advantage (very hard to do). If you believe in the tech then the best thing to do is watch from the sidelines and wait until there is a fundamental change in the financing situation, as it is the financing situation which is driving the trend, not how wonderful the machine might one day be. | sweet karolina
09/5/2017 07:47 | Perhaps the announcement enables the shares to be issued - as new shares cannot be issued below par.when share price has been below par for 3 weeks(I think). | twirl
08/5/2017 21:08 | That's the spirit. | mrtruth1
08/5/2017 20:27 | "The ability to stage the drawdown of the Tranches over two years provides the opportunity for the Company to benefit from positive news flow during that period." BRING IT ON DOCTOR, you bought the shares today, you must know why! | escapetohome
08/5/2017 20:09 | What i have learned is not to follow know it alls in the market. They are wrong as often as they are right. Tim winnifroth? Very Wrong on 2 shares i have been following recently. Broker man daniel? Professionals? He has been severely wrong on one share i follow , sold at 0.15 p and very bearish commentary, that same share has been 0.6 p just The other day. I may have got AVO wrong i am no expert , but it is a gamble for me and my £500 reflects the uncertainty. That 'bet' will. Not break the bank. | escapetohome
08/5/2017 20:05 | Let's see. | mrtruth1
08/5/2017 19:55 | I don't see Henchard's comments as negative, he is simply being realistic. With regard to the deal with Bracknor, I really cannot see any way out for this company, with the best will in the world. I am reasonably confident that the technology will eventually work, and will doubtless benefit a lot of unfortunate people, but I fear that the current shareholders may not be in a position to share in the financial benefits. And in case anyone might be interested, I did hold shares a few months ago, and I sold out around 60p at a substantial loss. And no, I'm not a disgruntled loser, just telling it the way I see it since Bracknor became involved. | vatnabrekk
08/5/2017 19:54 | mrtruth1, your presumption couldn't be more wrong - like your investment. Do you understand the financing deals AVO has made? Can you explain how these deals can lead to a positive outcome for anyone buying the shares at today's price, let alone prices over the last two years? | henchard
08/5/2017 19:45 | I might presume you've lost quite a bit of £££ | mrtruth1
08/5/2017 19:36 | mrtruth1, escapetohome - you need a reality-check. AVO plc, the company you're invested in, is heading for administration. You only have to read the RNSs on the financing agreements to see where the assets of the plc are going, that's to say, "the lease for 141-143, Harley Street and on certain other equipment of the Company." Investors in the plc will either lose everything or be offered the "opportunity" to put more cash into a delisted company for pennies. Why anyone would want to buy shares at 20-odd pence is beyond me. | henchard
08/5/2017 19:14 | Im in with a £500 buy | escapetohome
08/5/2017 18:56 | To be fair you've no idea what I've researched or not researched... | mrtruth1
08/5/2017 18:20 | I'm not convinced that positive tech news will necessarily cause the share price to rise very much at the moment. The company's financial situation is dire right now. | vatnabrekk
08/5/2017 18:09 | Nope, boom with positive tech news. | mrtruth1
08/5/2017 17:19 | This is going to boom soon... | mrtruth1
08/5/2017 09:54 | Good times ahead I'm absolutely sure. | mrtruth1
08/5/2017 09:46 | Yes he gave money to the Company because there is a cash shortage and unlikely to be any more from Bracknor until they can convert the current debt into shares. There is a rule about being unable to issue shares when share price is below par ie 25p - presumably buying at 30p avoids this. After all he could have bought in the open market for less than 30p - Bracknor would have obliged at least. That would indicate the transaction is intended to prop up AVO and his existing investment for a bit longer rather than purchase at the best price. | twirl
08/5/2017 09:10 | It certainly 'looks' that way. But is that the real underlying reason? Beware of Greeks bearing false gifts...? Its certainly a large amount to throw away though | pj 1
08/5/2017 09:06 | This is to show they still have confidence in what they are doing. It's not so much about how many shares they have but to prove that they are not quitting and are actually putting their money where their mouth is | adealsiddiq110
08/5/2017 08:57 | Why doesn't he just buy £250k on the open market. He would get more shares!! | pyglet |
