Late trade just printed, 1million at 7.1p at 12:51.
Assume that triggered the rise?

twirl - you can do dummy buys and sells with IG even with nothing in the account, and it's easy with the phone app

someuwin>> thanks - its the sells I'm after when I dont hold stock. Selftrade used to do it but Equiniti stopped it. Maybe I will just have to fork out for L2.

twirl - you can do it with all online brokers.

Place an order to buy, say £5 worth. If they come right back with a quote then they have at least that amount of stock to sell.

Try with higher or lower amounts to get a feeling for stock demand.

(You have to be holding the stock to gauge sell limits)

Possibly. It's cheaper and the technology better than its rivals. What is probably holding things up is that everyone is waiting for Harley Street to be up and running next year.

daijavu, Any custodian or owner of shares can lend them out to other organisations or individuals usually for a fee for them to sell (short) to bring the price down. This can be done without telling the actual owners of the shares (like shares held in nominee accounts) as well as with full knowledge like institutions etc.

So the way I read this is that the shares have gradually been bought back and returned to their owner because they see no further prospect of making money by selling (shorting) again or continuing to hold a short position.

However as I have never seen a RNS like this before I may not be 100% correct. Others will know better than me but this is how I see it. I am hoping that the shares will gradually rise now as we get nearer to the expected update as the shares have obviously already been bought back (which would have had a positive effect against any selling) if indeed they had all been used to short!

Anyway to cut a long story short it is more positive than negative even though the buying back of the shares will already have taken place.

Hope that helps.

IS and BB would you mind sharing with us novices, what it is you are talking about?

That was my initial reaction IS but I wanted a fresh take on it.
This probably means it can gradually rise again, hopefully.
Thanks for your reply.
