              Active Imaging PLC ("the Company")
                               
        Results of Rights Issue and Board Appointments
                               
The  5 for 4 rights issue of 22,903,360 ordinary shares of  10
pence  each  ("Rights Shares") at 10 pence  per  Rights  Share
closed  at 3:00pm on 14 August 1997. 16,033,299 Rights  Shares
were taken up which represents an aggregate take up of 70  per
cent.  Included  in  this figure are 6,000,000  Rights  Shares
which  were  taken up in consideration of the  release  of  an
outstanding  interest  free  loan  of  #600,000  provided   by
Coinshire  Limited,  3i Group plc and Quester  Limited.   Also
included in the figure are 2,515,495 Rights Shares which  have
been placed firm at 10p per Rights Share to various suppliers,
employees and the Company's ESOP trust.

The  balance  of the rights issue has been fully  underwritten
and  the 6,870,061 Rights Shares which were not taken up  will
be allotted to sub-underwriters representing 77.28 per cent of
their sub-underwiting commitments.

It  is  expected that definitive share certificates in respect
of  the Rights Shares will be despatched to shareholders by 26
August 1997.

The  Company is pleased to announce that Kevin Waterhouse  and
Ian Young have been appointed as directors of the Company with
immediate effect and they will hold the positions of  managing
director of Active Imaging (UK) Limited. and managing director
of Data Cell Limited respectively.
